Likely 99% of all Raptor owners including myself fall into this category. I need a truck, I want a Raptor.

Well said. I for one do not need a Raptor. This is the first truck I've ever owned. I decided I wanted a truck for the versatility and the Raptor was the only truck I would look at....because it's badass from the factory.

I'm not big on mods personally. Mine is pretty much all stock and I plan to keep it that way. The Raptor (gen 1 or gen 2) is the BEST looking purpose built truck I've ever seen. Also it has the capability and engineering to go with the great looks.

Even if Dodge puts the TRX into production or the Titan Warrior eventually comes out, the Raptor will still be iconic and the original that started it all. The looks of the Raptor (gen 1 or gen 2) alone are unparalleled in my opinion.

It makes for a fantastic family road trip vehicle and grocery getter for me personally. I don't have the opportunity to use it remotely close to its intended purpose.

It's the best vehicle I've ever owned and I just plan on driving it for a long time.

Yes you could build a more capable off road truck. I just doubt someone who cant afford a raptor, or are worried about it being expensive, can drop the 20K+ needed, plus the cost of the truck to do so. the 3.5 isn't lacking anything, it performs extremely well. would it really be worth going through all that trouble because it doesn't sound like a v8? that's the dumbest thing I've ever heard.

You would be amazed at the demand for that. People want what they want- if you had a 3.5 ecoboost and an 8 cylinder of some sort with equal feel of power, which would you choose? Honest question here.

That depends Sasquatch,

does the 3.5 come with or w/o a weep hole?

Any updates on that "new" engine that we will be sooo excited to see???

3.5L EB is Ford's #1 selling truck engine. Most F-150 buyers prefer better fuel economy over the V8 sound.

IF you could get a new Raptor lower than MSRP (like you can get any other F150), then yes, best deal going. The idiots that paid 70k+ will NEVER get that markup back because there will only be more Raptors in the future, not less.

I live near you, and paid 70k+. I don’t want my markup back (I paid $2k over sticker), and I’m definitely not an idiot.
