20x9 vs 17x9 Wheels

But that would be soooooooo much more off road capable with 17" wheels. Better yet, go down to 15"! Then you would never even worry about curbs again!

Does anyone know the smallest wheel I can get for mine??? You know, just in case I decide to go drive in a sand dune for the first time in my life.

Brake rotors are almost 14" so 15" wheels won't clear the calipers. But I'm glad you've learned something here.

Good point!

Some people are not very good drivers (my wife included) and have trouble keeping their vehicle where its supposed to be.

If that describes you, then the closer you get to having balloon tires, the better!

But you cant deny that larger wheels improve road feel and handling.

Yeah, you laugh, but those things are no joke. I wouldn't dare to try one of those curbs with anything short of a linked long travel prerunner.

I actually think 20's look great on 35" Mud Tires... 17's to me look too small almost but understand the point of more rubber. I think I am going to do 18's with a 1 offset... I like the tires sticking out a little...
