I recently purchased a 24 raptor 3.5 and with 388 miles on it the transmission stopped shifting ,luckily I was able to pull off the main road ,I shut it off and back on it slammed into gear and I was able to make it to the entrance of the driveway where it stopped moving again and then preceeded to put itself back into park . At a loss I tried several times to put it in gear to no avail ,I tried putting in neutral to move out of the driveway and it wouldn't let me do that either ,would just move itself back into park and say shift fault . I called my salesman who put me in touch with roadside assistance ,after 5 minutes of talking to a computer I was informed I needed to pay $475 for a tow to the nearest dealer ,qt this point i was ready to blow ,so I went to my shop and retrieved a scan tool came back and cleared the codes which took it out of fail safe mode and I was able to drive it to the dealership, codes were shift solenoid b and d stuck off performance.
