Installed some Baja Designs LP4's.

-SDHQ A Pillar Ditch Light Brackets
-Baja Designs LP4's, amber backlight
-SPV A Pillar harness. Ran the harness under the cowl and in between the fender where it mounts, towards the A pillar.
-SPV running light harness
-ARP 12pt Bolts and Nuts. The plan was to lockwire the bolts, but I broke the only 1/16 bit I had.
-Used some left over Gray Techflex and Shrink tubing from a KTM wiring project
-4 way zip tie mounts and zip ties. Mounts are under the cowl.

Final Product. Just need to adjust the lights a bit more and buy the LP4 side reflector covers

Looks good! I'm very indecisive on the XL80's or LP4's. Then I have to figure out if I want Clear or Amber... LP4's look good on your truck.
Thanks for sharing.

Hope our XL 80 vs Lp4 blog can help out. It just comes down to what you may be looking for. XL 80 will provide slightly more lumens, but the Lp4 comes with Integrated Peripheral Technology (IPT) which gives a 200-degree spread and a backlight. As for the lens, the great part about our lighting is the possibility of swapping out the lens to a different color or pattern without voiding the lifetime warranty.

looks great. I have the same lights in the same place. May want to get the blinders on the inside. BTW, exactly which bolts are those holding the lights to the brackets? Security bolts?

They aren't security bolts, just 12 point bolts from ARP. I was going to lockwire the bolt which would help out tremendously with security, but ran out of time and drill bits. I might still do this at a later date.

Does the LP4's have the backlight on both clear and amber? Also, what brackets are recommended to install these for a 24'?

The backlight is the least impressive thing about them. It’s dull and needs improvement. Doesn’t compare to backlights on Rigid @Baja Designs

What do you mean lock wire bolts?

Care to elaborate which ones you're talking about? New to the ditch light scene.
Only the larger lights such as the LP4, 6, 9, to my knowledge, have the backround amber light. Have a look at Rigid background lights and you will see how much nicer and brighter they are.
That said, I still feel BD are better lights.

If you look above at BD's explanation, they state the XL80 doesn't have the background amber light, nor do any of their lights that are shaped in that way.

Keep in mind that the LP series (4, 6, 9 - the amount of lights in each housing ever increasing in size) have side glass on both sides and the inner side will absolutely blind you. It requires a plastic insert which I believe is sold separately.

Also, if you plan on getting lights on the A pillar such as shown above, I'd go with clear. While amber may be slightly better in fog, and that's debatable as there are videos that show a marginal difference, high mounted lights on A pillar are useless against fog. I have amber and am just too lazy to buy and swap to clear though I'd like to.
