Hey there all. The heated steering wheel in my 2024 F150 Raptor does not seem to work at all most of the times.........BUT it has definitely come on where I felt acceptable level of heat maybe 4-5 times since I got it in September. So I don't think I have a low setting issue like this post discusses, my problem is intermittent. I'll have it looked at when I bring it in for my first oil change. Just wondering if anyone else has had this issue and what to expect from the dealer.

Mine is somewhat spotty too even after increasing temp with Forscan. This morning driving to work it was 28* outside and i kinda sorta felt the heat from the wheel, other days i gotta turn it off.

Thanks........I have had times where I thought maybe it had a room temp feel when cold but I decided it was probably from my hand or the sun in one specific spot. Then like i said previously, i have definitely felt heat a small handful of times so I thought the room temp thing was def an anomaly. This is probably a stretch from Ford's engineers but is it possible that the heater is tied to the outside/inside temp and regulates how hot the wheel should get and maybe that needs some adjusting.

Hey RaptorFun-

I tried to get some info for you. Looks like for the 2024 MY, Ford moved the adjustment to a new module called SECM-7C5 (Steering Effort Control Module). Here is a link to a spreadsheet that looks like the correct info for your rig.

I will try to link you to the exact spot in the document but if it shows up weird you can go right to the link. When you click on this link, if you look at the very very bottom, you will see all of the modules listed on one line at the bottom. You can take your mouse or your finger if you’re on an iPad or phone, and scroll until you get to the SECM-7C5 module and then go down to line #56 where the steering wheel temperatures begin - SECM-7C5 Line 56 is low, line 57 is medium, and 58 is high temperature. (These are noted in Celsius)

Also, below that you will see lines 60 to 64 that will allow you to change how many minutes you want your steering wheel to stay hot before it automatically turns off. You can also set it to stay on if you would like.

Good luck brother - If I can help you with anything else, let me know!

Here is the link to the Google Docs spreadsheet -

Hey there @Crow68 I responded to this post later on asking about what seems to be an intermittent heated wheel on my 2024. Does what you posted above mean there are low medium and high settings for the heated wheel? I have only really felt the heat 4-5 times since September. Several other times I was just not sure if it was even warm or if it was from my hand or the sun. I will be asking the dealer to look at it when I bring it in for an oil change I was just hoping to know the answer beforehand. Thanks!
