Good morning, anybody out there with the 2024 raptor with the heated steering wheel noticed that it doesn’t seem to get very warm at all? I had a 21 King Ranch powerboost and that thing worked great. The first time I use my heated steering wheel, I didn’t even think it was working, I realize now it works, but the increases to in temperature is not very noticeable.

I guess the frustrating thing is that I am expecting the dealership is going to say "Yep it works!" even though I could get the same effect by rubbing my steering wheel a few times.

What temperature are you testing it at? If its not very cold it might not be noticeable. The 23 wheel couldn't hardly tell it was working at times. I haven't tested the 24 truck yet but doubt its very warm.

Hey cog099-

I had this same issue on my Super Duty, and my Raptor. I went into the SCCM (steering column control module) in Forscan and tweaked some digits and it worked for me. I cranked er’ up to 100° to give it a try. It’s TOASTY when its freezing! I won’t have a rig without it anymore. I don’t smoke, but you could probably light a smoke off of that sucker. Lol

Ford “seems” to stick with the same temperature values across the F-Series. You might take a peek at your SCCM “as-built” values in your SCCM. Just a 10 minute job.

The Forscan values should look something like this in your SCCM -

714-02-01: 0244 4444 xx - Wheel Temperature = 68ºF
714-02-01: 024C 4C4C xx - Wheel Temperature = 76ºF
714-02-01: 0254 5454 xx - Wheel Temperature = 84ºF
714-02-01: 0258 5858 xx - Wheel Temperature = 88ºF
714-02-01: 025A 5A5A xx - Wheel Temperature = 90ºF
714-02-01: 025C 5C5C xx - Wheel Temperature = 92ºF
714-02-01: 025E 5A5E xx - Wheel Temperature = 94ºF
714-02-01: 0264 6464 xx - Wheel Temperature = 100ºF

When I had my Carbon wheel built, that was a MUST. When I installed my new carbon wheel, It gets just as warm.

Winter is a’ coming. Good luck!
