Well here is a non-Torsen. Not much help here as the one part number is the same, the other sticker is different in mine starting with 236277, not sure if that means anything.

If someone with a 21 or 22 with Torsen could snap a pic of the front diff that would be helpful, if it says 4T10 I guess that can confirm it.
Just crawled under my ‘21. Hadn’t seen anyone post it so here you go…

I feel you. I had a Lemon 21 F150 Tremor... calling Ford... dealing with every ave I could got me nowhere. Thankfully this Raptor has been good aside from having the trans replaced last week.
Didn't you just get yours in December? Already needs a new trans? Must've missed that one.

Yup. stripped 4th gear casually driving at 5k miles. Funny thing... in my Tremor the trans was even worse. I dont know how people can drive F150s that shift/drive like that. The raptor was out of nowhere tho.

Who the heck is installing a new front diff for only $250?

I'm getting quotes for $2,500 labor.
Sorry, that's a bench install on a diff housing I carried into a 4x4 shop. I still had to pull fu#&ing everything from wheel to wheel to get to it. But I was going through it all at the time, so adding the Torsen was just another $1100-1200 on the budget..

"To make maters more confusing is that if you put a vehicle that has a Torsen on a jack with the wheels off the ground, a Torsen equipped vehicle will seem to have an open diff. If you spin one of the wheels off the ground, the other will spin in the other direction. Also, a wheel off the ground would get all of the torque (one wheel spin). This would be corrected once the other touched the ground. Traction control would apply a brake caliper in this instance and force the mechanical aspect of the Torsen do "go positive" and drive both wheels". In Baja it just means the passenger gets out and stuffs a traction recovery board under it. In a pinch a shovel, rocks, or sticks will do. Once or twice I've seen fence posts used. Only once have I been forced to use a car hood for traction (we "borrowed" it; I would NOT recommend that method). I don't know about the electronics on Gen 2-3 Raptors, though.

Ah. Could you please describe the process? How much stuff did you have to remove that would lead to a re-alignment?

Thanks. Well that confirms it for me, yours has 4T10 for Torsen. Just crazy to me how under the radar Ford went about it.

Also, the non Torsen are S-988-K. It looks like the Torsen is S-989-K. Coincidentally, that axle housing online is about the cost of a Torsen inside over the S-988-K.

So if anyone wants to look under their truck, should be easy to tell if you have a Torsen inside.

S-988-K or 4L10: No Torsen.
S-989-K or 4T10: Torsen.

I may just buy the whole axle assembly with the Torsen in it and swap this bitch out myself.

Confirmed : peg leg it is. In all honesty, this probably won't affect me. It's actually the wife's daily driver. I just feel ripped off.
