An sc 7.3 would be amazing. No reason Ford can't crank out an aluminum block along with the iron block, GM does it with the LS motors.

Holy **** balls. Someone on FRF who realizes Ford builds their own engines and can make anything they choose to produce.

I was just waiting for someone to wail out "but iron block!" when the 7.3L was mentioned, and I was not disappointed!

It is in fact going to have a SC 7.3. It has made over 1000 ft/lbs in testing and is being de tuned for durability.
It is smaller, lighter and a more robust platform for truck use.
What in the actual F are you smoking bro!?!?

huh? The 7.3 is by definition larger than the 5.2 & on top of that it’s heavy AF b/c it’s a cast iron block

And everyone needs to give it a rest on “Godzilla” - it ain’t Godzilla. That namesake belongs to the ttV6 & the GTR powered by it lol- overweight iron block truck engine dubbed “Godzilla” gtfoh

So….. When Ford decides to build the Raptor R it will perform flawlessly, they will already have a year of the Gen 3 raptor running around the desert or the mall and any issues with the new platform will be worked out and beefed up for the “supercharged” or “twin turbo” V8.
