I read through some of the many great threads I found on here along with Livnitup's google sheet to make some Forescan changes... I did the following on my '22:
Glare-Free
Fake-Engine noise disablement
DRL on w/ headlights
Bambi mode
Turning off most chimes

I used the Forescan value chart (not the as-builts) for some of the changes (DRL and Chimes mostly). The glarefree and some of those other settings I changed the as-built files and I did as people recommend - one write per key cycle (turn off, then back into accessory mode). Once I went to pull out of my driveway after making these changes the truck was hesitant to move. Display said there was a 4-wheel drive fault, reduced power, and service required. It would barely move and something was clearly very off.

I took backups of all the as-builts before I started and restored them all... I read and cleared DTC's then took it for a drive. Something feels off, when I use the paddle shifters it's VERY slow to respond and when I'm driving over speed bumps it seems harsher and like the ride quality was somehow degraded as I think I'm getting more road feedback?

Anyone have any ideas or maybe I'm just losing my mind from being nervous changing the module settings...

Could be just a relearn process. Disconnect the battery for a number a minute, hook up and retest. Reset the BCM after you reconnect the battery.

Those changes causing those issues is wild , but who knows what is tied into what…fake engine noise being disabled probably disables 55% of features because we all need fake engine noise to enjoy these raptors.

I really don’t know, I thought the same thing. When the service 4x4 came up and I backed into my driveway it made a strange noise and I’m on high alert now. All values (AsBuilts) are restored and I disconnected the battery for 15 mins and reconnected. Hopefully it’s back to normal tomorrow… or I might by missing some module reset? Idk

Another DRL mod goes down in flames. Pretty sure Nex is ri…. He’s ri..

Well you know.
Good job taking the backups. There are so many who don’t we have a bingo card entry for it. But, if you read up, you missed the part about DRL mods in forscan. It’s the forscan mod of DOOM.

good luck and keep us updated

Will do, I restarted the BCM and some of the other modules I changed.. all factory values in place and I’ll test it out tomorrow.

It definitely felt like it didn’t ride as it should, and the shifting with paddles took a full second if not more to register

I want one trust me lol

I need to do something about the trans… I figured it would be decent but it’s either 1. asleep 2. playing gear-hunting simulator
If you have a trans that is falling asleep or trying to shift gears from the backseat you need to find a new "them" :anitoof:
