I don't know if it's that bad, but they should of waited a couple of years and brought out a lot more goodies at once to let it stand out from the crowd. I don't run a major corporation so, what do I know, lol.
Ford has a whole floor in their office set aside for marketing wizards, I'm hopeful it will all make sense in the coming months. At least a lot of Gen 2 owners got to drive their trucks around basically for free and then unloaded them for face value, the prices will start to drop now.I don't know that they needed to wait a couple years, but a couple months would have made sense. If they had waited to May, they could have looked better prepared and gave out all the details, including something about the R. Could have opened up reservations at the same time with deliveries late summer/early fall. That seems so logical, that I must be missing something. Perhaps it has to do with the release of other vehicles, like Bronco, and they didn't want to 'step on themselves' so to speak.
