Just out of curiosity, has anyone ran Dyno charts on a 6.2 with basically all the simple upgrades you can do without the actual supercharger? Truck currently has stainless works long tube headers, afe cold air intake, magnaflow exhaust, and a 87 performance tune from 5 star. The truck already had the headers and cai when I got it but just the magnaflow and tune has beefed it up exponentially. I figure all together I should be around 50+ horsepower over stock with said mods. Tia!

This section is for the 5.4L !!!!
You need to scroll down one more for the 6.2L section.

But, 50 (RWHP) over stock is the very very high end with 93 octane.
The torque won't be as much though.
I believe only one Raptor achieved that but was using E30 or E85

200+ HP (RWHP) with the stage II Whipple.
And 180 to 220+ ft.-lbs. (to the wheel) of torque increase.

Reference: 411 HP (FWHP) at the crank, stock
_________ 317 HP (RWHP) at the wheel, stock

I have Kooks Long Tubes and Roush CAI. Did a Eddy Current Dyno tune. Im at 380 HP at the Wheels. Torque was in the 400s can't remember exactly. Definitely woke the truck up. Just know a Eddy Current Dyno is the most real world numbers as it factors in everything like the 35 inch tires and weight and etc. Other Dynos just factor in drive train loss. Other Dynos will give me higher numbers to brag about but I got what I wanted out of it. The shop that did it told me the had a Shelby GT 500 and after they moded it up then used there Eddy Current Dyno they got 800 hp out of it. Same car went to another place that had the regular Dyno and it showed little over 1,000 hp. 200 hp difference

Your drive train loss seems a bit high. In 4wd it should be no more than 20%. Also you don’t get 411hp without both off road mode engaged and 91 octane or higher in the tank. Perhaps that’s where the low numbers came from. Likely 330 to the wheels is more accurate. Unless not in off road or running inferior fuel.

Frist off, 411HP is FWHP and 400 ft-lbs. of torque (at the crank) with 91 octane is according to Ford's advertised numbers.
And putting the truck in off-road mode does not change the HP!!!! That is a myth.
The numbers I posted are from real dyno numbers from quite a few members on here starting from year 2010 posts.
15% to 20% drivetrain loss is for a car with small tires and manual transmission.
Add an automatic and 35 in tires, the loss is much greater.
I know you're new here and haven't seen all the HP posts, but old-time members will agree 31% to 33% is what we have seen.

Funny you post this because I originally thought 30% was the correct drive train loss. That makes a lot of sense to me and I actually looked up the generally accepted drive train loss for a 4wd before I posted to avoid this. I know for a fact changing tyres changes the gear ratio of the total system. Dyno numbers are a hard metric to go by. Too many variables to get accurate wheel horse power numbers. I think for accurate horsepower numbers on the trucks the best thing to do would be to run it on a hub Dyno. If this were a car we would all be looking at trap speed, but then again with off road tyres and such this would be very hard to do accurately with a truck. Thank you for your input and fact checking me. I rather be wrong and learn something than post garbage. Oh, also I didn’t know about the off road mode thanks for explaining that. The 91+ octane part is correct right?

No one has done a dyno with just different octanes with a Raptor on here.
The PCM does a good job with timing when using different octanes, having said that, most of us do feel the difference.
HP numbers were always slightly higher when using 93 octane.

sometimes dyno shops will tell you up front their dyno reads “ low” so customers don’t get upset with low numbers. an eddy current dyno vs a regular dyno??? sounds like the shop is just throwing jargon at you. all the dyno shops ive used throughout the usa refer to their dyno by the brand and not the type. mustang, dyno jet, etc. are brands that use EC dynos.

First of all, who you callin'  old?

But yes, losing 1/3 of the hp at the flywheel (in an off-road application) is a thing. Same as fuel mileage plummeting when you're spinning the tires in silt. The bigger the tire, the more hp disappears. A Gen 1 Raptor uses a slightly modded F-250 motor that was designed to run forever; not to chirp the tires. There's a game the locals used to play in Baja races back in the days when you had to stop for a checkpoint stub at each checkpoint. It goes like this:

You wait until the racer grabs his checkstub from the checkpoint guys, then you sprint alongside him (while keeping your cerveza from spilling) and try to keep up with an 800hp Trophy Truck as long as you can. It was amusing to watch Ivan Stewart's bazillion dollar PPI-built Trophy Truck being outrun by a dude in flip-flops holding his Tecate coozie.
