Ford is getting slaughtered. Some guy said that all the only thing Ford made bigger were the marker lights and that Ford wasted money on an exhaust enhancing switch that's freakin' pointless :lol2:

Ford is getting slaughtered by innovating and being first in class? Idiots are getting stranger these days. Maybe when netflix brings out the new stranger things you’ll be the next main protagonist driving a TRX and your only line in the whole show will be MOPAR.

In total units yes but this new Raptor is decidedly 2nd place in both performance and interior. And you won't even be able to get your 2nd place truck for another year :lol2: Or you can wait for the R, pay more than the TRX and possibly be equal in performance. By then Ram will have a Red Eye. Ram owns this segment now, and Ford gave it to them on a silver platter.

Interior? Not hardly. You can keep your cheap piano black plastics in an off road truck and if I need an iPad I have one. The TRX is already behind in performance. Question is, when will RAM actually innovate as Ford continues to own the segment?

You clearly lack first hand experience with the new Ram trucks. you wouldn't have posted this otherwise.

I don’t actually (though I suppose it’s more third person). Have some people at work that have them (such rebels). They are nice, nicer than the 15-20 F150s, but not by the significant margin people like you would lead others to believe. And with the 21 and up F150s that lead is gone with F150s holding even more tech features and not taking 30 plus seconds just to change a drive mode or shock setting like in the TRX.

It takes time to put a V8 in the Raptor. I have a feeling the current 10-speed prob can't handle the power so you have 2 choices:

1 - beef up the current 10-speed to handle the power
2 - ditch the current 10-speed and use the GT500 dual clutch as it was made to handle the power BUT now you have to send power to 4-wheels.

Both scenarios above takes time. Unfortunately, in this day and age, everyone wants their shit NOW!

And I bet the Gen3 Raptor was always a 2022 model BUT Ford pushed it up to 2021 to provide a product to some while they work on the V8 variant for 2022.

Relax guys, most here prob can't afford a 100K truck anyway and if you can, you are not likely going to take it to Baja and beat on it.

Give the looks time to grow on you.

Anytime a manufacturer updates a vehicle I own/am fond of, I'm almost always disappointed and it takes me a long time to get used to it. (Definitely happened to me when the gen2 came out).

Lol the gen 2 guys saying the gen 3 doesn’t look as good sounds like in 2017 when gen 1ers where saying the same thing.

I think the gen 3 looks great. (Of course the og gen 1 looks the best[emoji23])

Gen 3 pros-
Made the v6 sound good!
Lay flat front seats???
About twice the mileage of a trx
37s stock will make fitting 39s a breeze[emoji23]
5 link
Looks 8k times better than a Dodge (I'm sorry but the trx looks like shit)
Air bumps in the back will be the first and easiest install
Mirrors look waaaay better. More like gen 1
Love the new Halo headlights
Exhaust modes are just like the gt500. Big thumbs up

Gen 3 cons-
None

Actually the Amber markers are a little huge
