2021 F150 "work truck" faster than a Raptor.

I’m just very interested to see what they do with the Gen 3 3.5 HO. Everything in this new F-150 generation has a power increase. How would the Raptor not get any. The larger turbos theory sounds interesting and opens up a lot of revised tuning to Ford engineers. Even if you limit peak power numbers, but show a nice bump. What you can do under the curve would be phenomenal in real world numbers. Forget what tuners would be able to do with it.

So you do it with two completely different vehicles instead of two that are the same except for the motor? That would actually be easy to do. And it would be a meaningful test. These guys are not rocket surgeons. They're clickbaiters. But they appear to be making money because their audience is not made up of brain scientists ...

Except they would have to actually get their hands on those vehicles you mentioned, which isn’t so easy to do. TFL actually owns all the vehicles in that video. It’s not that easy to get a press car and most dealerships don’t want you drag racing vehicles they have to sell. TFL does not have the resources available to them that most long standing automotive publications have.

I personally found it to be interesting to see what the new Powerboost can do. And yeah, it is clickbait. How do you think they make money to support the work they do on the long term tests, comparisons, and Ike Gauntlets? But I bet the same people bitching about this video watched the retard crash his TRX a few months back.

Hasn't ford already engineered a higher horsepower tuned road going emissions certified 3.5? In the GT? Different turbos and all.

Seems like they could rent an F150 with the HO 3.5. Didn't the Limited have that motor?

I only watched the section with the crash on the retard's video. I didn't watch the TFL video at all. I get really impatient with videos because the information density is low even before they start dragging things out to get more watched minutes on YT. I don't have much of a life, but it's better than watching videos.

You know many places that rent Platinum Limited F-150s? I don’t.

Don’t they all these days? Every fool with a camera has a VLOG that takes 45 minutes to explain why he put a catch can on his DI 5.3L GMT KXXX truck, as he’s driving to god knows where.

I thought it was an interesting video. I don't understand the TFL hate. They have a 2020 Raptor. They have a 2021 XLT. They have a 2021 TRX. So they drag raced them all. To me, that's interesting. It's not some exhaustive scientific test. It's something I would do if I also owned all three of those trucks.

They should have taken the wheels off the F150 and put them on the Raptor. That would have been hilarious. If it could get traction it would have been faster.

Useful information and the low density video of it LOL. That describes so many of these videos today. It’s obvious they want the minutes, but they are so beyond dragged out.

Next thing you know TFL will be crowd sourcing money for testing more similar vehicles for their videos, instead of you know, using them while they have the media and test trucks in their possession for relevant tests. Who knows, maybe we can find out on the next series of parking lot reviews....
