I am considering 2018 - 2020 to drive for few years to work into a Gen3

The 2018 price point is little better and mileage is lower. (50K Miles)

2020 is certified gold by ford but have over 65K Miles

Attached is the underside of a considered 2018 but rest of truck looks and sounds smooth.

Thoughts on either 2018 Low Mileage 2020 High Mileage. Extended Warranties?

Would love to hear some help and advice on my first Raptor purchase.

Thank You

I thought the shocks in my '18 felt more plush than the live valves in my '21. There is also a cam phaser issue to look out for on the '18. You didn't give the prices or the options or the colors or really a whole lot more information to get decent opinions. 50K vs 65K miles is really nothing. And, personally, i'd get a extended warranty.

Could have sworn I have seen a similar thread on here. Search and you may find it.

Welcome to FRF, rookie.

See Buying a used 2017-2020 “Jen Too” Raptor ; Some things to look for

shock will almost certainly need replaced, a not insignificant expense, especially for the live valve shocks.
If either has no moonroof, that is your primary choice, as you eliminate the possible breakages.

the ’20 probably has newer tires, but it is possible to eek out 50k on KO2’s - what do tires look like?

Good luck !

When I traded in my 20 it had zero issues and the can barely tell the shocks were needing to be rebuilt. The higher mileage wouldn’t scare me much as long as you got the warranty. It’s all about maintenance and care but hard to tell on a used car sometimes
