2020 Sync 3 Update

Supposed to be formatted with exFAT.
Isn’t it.?

That shows FAT32, only reason I ask. I found a program to convert my exFAT USB Drive that I couldnt just format it to FAT32, so going to give it a try now

The instructions say exFAT, (at least for my 19) that worked for me.

Is it now bright blue at night? I really liked the blacked out night theme (my truck has only ever had 3.3). This is one of the few vehicles I've seen where the nav screen isn't obnoxiously bright at night (independent of brightness controls).

Hesitant to update.

I like the update , but my girl does not she likes the old version , she said it does not match the truck , and she does not like the bright blue either .

Yes....It is bright blue at nite. You can change background shades but the bottom and top stay bright blue regardless.

I agree that 3.4 is obnoxiously bright in day mode. I started running it in night mode all the time and unlike v3.3 the night mode is plenty bright during the daytime and the color skins match the truck much better.

Still amazing that Ford has not done anything to coordinate the skins between the instrument cluster and the center touchscreen. I mean how hard is it to just program a matching background?

Well...If i dont attempt to try and revert back to the 3.3 ver update from the Ford Site.
Then maybe I’ll give running in nite mode all the time a try. Just want the Bright Blue Buttons to turn To some shade of Gray.
So...I’m wondering if the brand new 2020 Raptor’s Sync3 have the Bright Blue? Wonder if the 3.4 hack update we used are Model Specific for something other than a Raptor....even though it works and all. Pertaining to color sceme that is.

Has anyone posted a pic of the v3.4 update on night mode? I’d be curious to see what that looks like.

I have v3.0 on my 2018 and have always ran it in night mode due to the aesthetics factor of the darker color matching the interior better.

Although I haven't tried myself, you should have no issues downgrading to 3.3

You could also try the lincoln theme for 3.4 if you don't like the blue:

So you think I can just go out and stick in my USB stick with the 3.3 upgrade files on it and it will work out? Even though Ive already done the 3.4 hack?
I want to do this but would be much much more comfortable knowing someone else has done this already.

That Lincoln Theme is what I like. That looks good.
Wonder where you get the 3.4 version download for that? I do like those colors instead of blue for the Raptor.

Did you try it with exFAT? I cant format my 64gb USB drive to FAT32 so worried about trying it that way

I have not. I bought a new USB and formatted it. I haven't done the upgrade yet because I have naviks in my truck and they said they haven't tested it yet. So I'm waiting for naviks to test their stuff then if it's okay I will do the upgrade

Haven't tried Forscan yet (Forscan-rated USB-OBD2 cable sitting on desk though). Is it possible to have a different splash screen (i.e. stock Raptor/Ford Performance) with Lincoln theme without it saying "Lincoln" all over the place?

ok, auto daylight saving time ( not savings, btw ) piques my interest in the new sync. One less clock to update 2x per year.

I forgot to change that when i first bought the truck. Was wondering why my scheduled starts were a hour off LOL
