Starter was the problem, brushes wore out prematurely, I would disable the auto start on my 2018 With the button every time I drive my truck. I bought the Cobb accesport and used the disable auto start stop feature in the programmer, so no more remembering to turn off with button. I really don’t mind the auto start stop feature but didn’t want to go through not starting up again problem you experienced at a busy intersection. Pretty nerve racking.

Do you know anything about an update for a better idle and a little more power on top end?

Sorry it's all I have and read it in a post a few days ago. I meant to save it but didn't.

Not that I need an update for either but was just curious if you read or know about this update.

No, I am not aware of any software update that was released to for idle or power concerns.

Just thought I would give an update. Since the dealer replaced the starter, everything is working as it should. I even think that the software updates have fixed most of the annoying computer glitches that would show up occasionally.

great news glad ot got fixed for ya, auto/stop is the worst feature the auto industry has pushed in the last few yrs

The auto industry didn't push it; government fuel economy standards did. Auto Start/Stop can significantly improve a vehicle's city fuel economy rating, especially with larger engines.
