I've got the same problem on my 2020. Turns out there is a technical bulletin SSM 48346 about the issue due to incorrect configuration of the digital signal processing (DSP) module.
I asked my dealer about the possibility of the amp/sub not being turned on or configured correctly and they looked into it and said everything checked out.
After replacing the amp/sub package, it solved my issue.

Took it in this morning and gave them the bulletin. That is what is was. Sounds better now.
