Just replaced my 18 with a 20 and the B&O system's volume seems weak. Have to turn the volume level up to at least +20. Doesn't seem right. Guess I'll take it to the dealer and see what they say.

I also have a 20 base model Fusion and the base stereo in it Rocks. Can't turn in past 16 and it's load. Makes no sense that the B&O system is amplified and the volume seems to be low.

I've played around with the settings and it's helped some.

1. Turned the speed adjustment off
2. Surround sound is turned on
3. Balance is slight to the front

Thoughts?

sigh....

the volume goes from 0-30.....20 would be 2/3rds volume.

the system is weak.....which is why many of us replace it all together. i have mine set up that i go to 25-28 depending on source for max volume.

glad you got your issue fixed....it will only be a matter of time before you replace it all.

Yes...it sounded like a base model audio system before they fixed it. Volume I think goes up to 28-30. Had it makes out and it sounded horrible. One of the techs thought it sounded fine. Had them get two trucks side by side and check the volume on both, then they said yep it's messed up.

Set the volume now on 13 and it's cranking!

That's one issue with technicians, especially older ones - when it comes to diagnosing noise and/or audio issues, their hearing is significantly impaired from years of air tools. Glad they were able to get the issue resolved though!

Glad to have it fixed. I was a little worried they might have a difficult time trying to figure it out or limited availability with parts.

They had to rob a sub/am out of another truck. Said it would take awhile to order with some suppliers shut down.

Appreciate everyone’s insights!

I thought it only went to 11?

Not sure I understand your question? The volume goes up to 30 (max). Before the dealer replaced the Amp/sub, I had to turn the volume level up to 24-26 to hear it. Now that the Amp/sub has been replaced the system is now cranking at level 11.

Hope that answers your question.
