I agree with you should get out of the deal. And with the least amount out of your pocket. Even if they made the truck better than it first was, every time something went wrong with the truck after that you'd wonder if it was caused from the 800km joy ride. No way would I accept that truck. I've had some bad experiences with dealers, but nothing like this. Makes me appreciate my dealer even more. Hope you can get this cleared up and find that truck you've always dreamed of.

I missed that you aren't buying this thing from a Ford dealer. The extended warranty and the service contract will probably not be on the table. If it was a Ford dealer, they could throw that at you at a low cost to themselves and a big benefit to you for a win/win. Given what I know now, I'd lean toward walking.
