You nailed it. Neither has a Raptor but they were able to put that aside and still find true love on this forum. Age old story, against all odds, boy meets boy (not that there is anything wrong with that).

I will be waiting on my Xmas card.
I can buy a raptor, I mean I can afford it. But I ain't dumb like must of you buying msrp and above. You are the reason the crook dealers are not giving discounts on raptors. Shit they even give close to $8k discount on limited f150 without much hassle.

Come on man...Nobody cares about a limited,or a ram for that matter. Apples and oranges. People here can afford to buy whatever they want, that's the point. People come and ask "where's the best deal", "is this a good deal", etc. then ACTUAL (internet make believe) OWNERS pipe up and talk about what they paid. Then, like clockwork, here you come saying everyone is a sucker, how your are gonna show us you're negotiating skills.

Here's the really important part you are not grasping, people that already have a Raptor don't really care. We can afford to let go of 5-10 grand, for the truck we want, without having to go see a shrink. It's part of life, money comes and goes. Once you realize that, you can really start to enjoy life. Now we are enjoying our truck without any regrets instead of getting our ******* tied up in a knot wondering if we got the absolute best deal possible. I feel sorry for you, you seem like the type of person that would stay up late at night wondering if Joe down the street paid less for his lawn service than you, or whatever.

I will end with this, I see folks posting about "X" amount over/under MSRP on here day in and day out. Unless they walk in and write a check for the truck, we have no idea how bad they got screwed on the trade in. That's the part that is always left out. If you get $5k off invoice but get $5k lower value for your trade, you're still paying MSRP.

Anyway, I am glad you and Jake found each other. Nobody, even you, should be alone for the holidays. Maybe y'all can sit by the fire, rub wieners and laugh out loud at all the idiots.

Sorry if it's been discussed already but I just watched the TFL Truck review and they noticed a little stiffer ride than the '17-'18's due to the new live fox shocks. And definitely not as lush of a ride as the Gen1 - according to them. I love my '17 as a daily driver. normal mode is a bit soft on the pedal but I like the savings on MPG so it's not a big deal. Sport mode is there when I need to get on it and have some fun. I thought it was interesting that TFL didn't notice that much of a difference with the Recaro seats compared to the stock ones.

Wave of the magic ignore button wand...and “****” less shit in the thread!

And thanks for getting us back on topic @solsurfr

OT: Didn’t plan to go to work today, but had to go in anyway. Nice back road commute on the weekend made me enjoy this truck (that OBTW I bought used, but $2K below fair market value) that much more.

Think I’ll take it to the track tomorrow instead of the Cayman and see what kind of lap time I can set just for ***** n’ giggles!

Will post pics if I do... Bonus will be that I can run by the hardware store and grab a bunch of lumber and stuff for another project on the way home!

Raptor: all purpose tool!

So I now have 1000 miles on my 18- and love it. I traded in a F250 on it and this 150 ride like a dream.

I'm a bit of a car guy- and can tell you this thing is so much fun to drive. I'm glad I got an 18 with the soft floating suspension. I have not been in a 19 but not a fan of the alcantara on the seats. Holds you in place but harder to get in and out of.

I drove about 70 miles to a dealer who had 6 in stock, and was selling them at sticker price. (3 Ford dealers local, $10K above sticker) But it also had all the options I wanted and no Raptor stickers ( not a fan)

It also had a Tec package which I did not want- What a waste of money I thought, but I'm digging the adaptive cruse control, and really surprised I like the lane departure warming system. Really glad I got it.

About the only negative I can say is I'm told it will not fit in a automatic car wash. I really enjoy washing it myself- but in the north east with salt on the roads in winter, I can not stand a dirty car.

Oh and I'm getting about 16 mpg combined, ( which surprises be as mush as I stand on the pedal ).

I had the PCM (calibration? programming?.. whatever) updated at the last service and recall appointment. Part of that is obviously disconnecting the battery, but between that and the recalibration, there’s a definite improvement in normal mode willingness to shift.
I’d been into service twice since January ’17, and I asked at the last service and got the universal “it’s up to date”. Then read on here the truck has to be connected to their system to check or confirm this. I made a ‘thing’ of this. They called and said that was only for warranty concerns. After about a minute of jawing they agreed and all was well.

It will fit in some car washes. You have to be a little careful and check out the car wash, but I've done it a fair amount with no problems. However I had most recently been only going to a by hand wash place.

I've not been able to see a 2019 yet, do they all have the same seats? I see some have blue accents which would not be on my Magnetic truck, but what about them didn't you like? I'm an old guy, LOL. 6' and 220. and do 18k miles a year, what wouldn't I like? thanks!!
