From would I've read so far, the towing numbers on the new Limited will be lower than other F-150's. For someone looking for a street truck only, the Limited will be a nice choice possibly at a little lower price.

The interior shows near the beginning of the video. Looks better than the blue does.

Numbers are low due to the 22s alone is what I read.

The turbo / pistons / exhaust manifold / cooling is still different on the raptor vs. the 2019 limited

To get 450 out of the engine reliably, it will need all those upgraded bits. Since Ford has all the parts handy, there is no reason they wouldn't give it the full treatment. As far as I know, the Navigator gets the Raptor engine, so why not the Limited?

My thoughts exactly, they already have the Raptor HO EB, why would they make a different EB for the Limited - very likely it will be the same as in the Raptor and Lincoln. Personally I don't have an issue with the Raptor HO engine being available in other Ford/Lincoln products...the Raptor is a unique and specialty vehicle and doesn't compete with the Limited...can't imagine someone interested in a Raptor would also be looking at the Limited??

You are wrong.

All the guys on this forum who keep asking about 0-60 times and how the Raptor "doesnt feel like a sports car", will be all over that Limited. With 700 less pounds and smaller tires, that new Limited will smoke the Raptor in the 0-60!

LOL

Then throw on a JB4/MPT tune and its lights out for everyone!!

I dont see why anyone cares what motor is in the limited?

I bought a Raptor for the off road capabilities most people looking @ a Raptor are not looking at a Limited and vise versa.

I think that is was a good move on Ford's end to add that engine to the Limited line up.

My point exactly, anyone looking for an off road truck isn't going to be considering a Limited...and if it's significantly lighter the Limited will likely be faster than the Raptor, after all, isn't the regular 3.5EB in the 2018 F-150 faster 0-60 than the Raptor (due to being lighter)? Thought I'd read that but doesn't bother me as the Raptor is an off road platform - not a drag truck...

Maybe Ford overestimated the usage of the HO motor and needs another outlet?

If you've ever needed your dealer to order a part, you'd know that is not at all the case. Everything is on back order, they are literally selling everything they make. The HO is going in the limited because it's a top trim level and want to differentiate it further from something like an XLT

My original plan was to buy a Limited. Then, I thought I liked the Expedition. After seriously checking out the Raptor, I knew that's what I really wanted.

I think the real reason is it puts Ford 30HP ahead of the best Chevy has to offer. That will help keep Ford out front until the next redesign.
