More proof that there is NO v8 coming anytime soon

I kinda thought this might indicate the opposite.. moving the Raptors premium engine into more common varieties could mean they'd need to do more to make the Raptor stand out..

I agree. They will add a tune to the raptor to slightly increase hp in the 2020 model is my guess. Same engine but they may get 475-500 hp from it.

But using the engine in other lines to me is proof it's here to stay.

You would think that, but maybe it wont go that way

I bought a Subaru STI back in 05, and it used to be quite different from the wrx. Then they changed the 2.0L in the WRX to the 2.5L, then the wrx got the STI aero, and then it went from 5 speed to 6 speed, and they diluted the ******* shit out of it.

I am betting a small bump in HP is coming for the Raptor. The 99-00 Lightning had 360hp then in 01-04 they bumped it to 380hp. I wouldn't be surprised to see the Raptor get a 20-25hp bump just to differentiate from the masses.

I really don't think it's that big of a deal. The raptor still has a completely different purpose, so who cares if it has the same hp/tq. If you want luxury and need to tow, get the 70k limited. If you want luxury with aggressive styling and offroad capability, get the 70k raptor. I didn't really hear a bunch of complaints when the motor went in the new navigator.

You could always tune your truck if you're not happy.

I'm hoping 2020, more power, better brakes, better rear end handling. Maybe the 2019 shocks might help with the rear. I would like to see ford do the ranger raptor rear end setup with coils.

The 6.2 was available in regular F150's, not surprised they are putting the 3.5 high output Raptor motor in the Limited now. Like others mentioned it already comes in the Navigator so it wasn't exclusive to our trucks in the first place.
