all the guys that just purchased a limited gonna be pissed. trade-ins on limiteds about to flood in.

That's a scary thought for the V8-or-die crowd. LTD guys dropping their V8 to get a more powerful V6TT could convince Ford they are on the right track.

V8 not available on the Limited, only Platinum on down.

Honestly, the stock tune from Ford is weak in the first place. Anyone with a raptor owes to themselves to get an aftermarket tune and really see what this motor can really do. Most with the limited will leave it as is. Not really sure them having it makes a difference.

I live near the woodlands also. What type of tuner do you recommend for a 2017 Raptor?

wreedssvt,

After a lot of research on this forum and others, and my mechanic working on nothing but race engines essentially, we settled on the MPT 93 prx tune. I have 5 star as well, and just got the truck back. The mpt gives the most gains in hp, throttle response, aggressive shifts, etc. Let me have a few weeks to try 5 star and the mpt and compare. I wanted to max it out and mpt pushes the envelope to the edge. :). Hope that helps.

Does the 93 imply it requires 93 octane fuel?

I went with the MPT 93 PRX tune as well. I have 5-star tunes for my Gen 1, but there were several early reports of drivability issues with their Gen 2 tunes.

I will be interested to hear your opinion on the differences. Good or bad...
