Give it a wack with a hammer

I saw the movie, Bruce Willis rescues the earth from tha astroid, and the Pesky Russian on board hits the computer to restart it with a hammer. Blame the Russians.

I agree. Though I drove it this morning and the gauge cluster did not go crazy. I don't get it.

I'll bet the connector is loose. My computer monitor is on a swing arm and sometimes, the cord pulls loose and it does exactly like your pic.

2019 raptor at 1050 miles. Completely stock. On the way home from work in heavy traffic my Gauge Cluster goes crazy. I was really worried that my engine would cut off but it never did. Mechanically, the truck was unaffected. The cluster would go crazy and then shut down and then turn back on. And it did 12 times over 15 miles. Got home and parked in my driveway and it still did it. I was able to grab a video as I know my dealer would not believe me.

BTW ... I have a 2018 M2 with 8200 miles and the gauge cluster just went also. What are the chances? And now I have to visit the dealer and I hate going to the dealer with issues. GRRRRRRR!

This May Sound Dumb. but Everything runs through the Radio, ? is do You have an factory Amp under the rear seat? (i have a 2010) that does SO! if the Radio is NOT Communicating to the Amp! it Kills the Info Center. THEN it will kil your Batt. Also ! ya Need a New Info Center.

I've seen this on TV. Your neighbor is a child **** collector and has a super powerful degaussser hidden on his front door in case the cops take his computer.
When you drive by....Whamo ;)

I just got my 2019 the first week in February and had the exact same thing happen. Very sporadic. Got video to show the dealer. At first they thought it was a module in the steering column, waited a week for that to show up. Less than a mile after leaving the dealer it did the same thing again. This time they said the dash cluster needs to be replaced. Problem is the cluster has been on backorder now for over 2 weeks, with no change in status yet. Is this cluster unique to the Raptor, or is it used in 150’s? Sorry you are having this problem, but now I know I am not alone.

Thank you for sharing.

Some more info ... I drove it to work yesterday morning and the gauge cluster was fine. Then when I was driving home, right at start up the cluster went crazy then it shut down and came back on. When it came back on, the screen was very pixelated (sp?) and it was like that all the way home BUT it never cut off and restarted 12x like the previous day.

This morning I started it up and the gauge cluster was normal and NOT pixelated. I drove it around the block and it was fine. It is a beautiful day in VA (70s) so I drove my M2 to work.

As I mentioned in my 1st post, my 2018 M2 with 8,200 miles also has a faulty gauge cluster. My dealership had to order the part from Germany and it took 1 month to get to the states.

I am not having good luck with gauge clusters.
