Hi everyone, just got a set of live valve 3.0 coilovers, and there is no preload on the shock collars. Given the 0-2" lift, I presume no preload means 0" lift is factory setting. I have read that the 2017-2018 coil overs come set from factory with a 2" lift, but to me that doesn't make sense for these 3.0 live valves given the zero preload they've come with. Can anyone chime in with confirmation of this? Also, I am looking to lift the front end about 1.5". I would prefer to be able to get the truck in the ballpark of lift prior to installing the coilovers, so would appreciate if anyone could tell me how many turns I need to make on the preload collars. Thanks!!
The coilovers should come out of the box to level the truck from our experience. Then you can fine tune from there.

A full turn usually is about 1/8-1/4" of lift height depending on spring rates.

@NEOGARAGE Nice to see you can post on FRF but haven’t returned my calls or emails on my ****** up order!!
What’s messed up? We sent you everything as of last week, and I didn’t get any email until a few minutes ago from you again.

I’m not always near the phone when I’m under a car installing something or dealing with local stuff or orders as well. This is still a mostly one man operation.

EDIT: Order was missing one center pin bolt, which is being sent to you today.

For those of you who have pulled the trigger and ordered/ are running the Fox 3.0 Factory series on your trucks--was it worth it. I am talking on the Live Valve version--I have a 20 SCREW.
It is considerable more money, that just putting on new springs in front for a little extra height, and for better performance in the rear axle, most likely will still need to upgrade to Deavers or Icon.
I know when you go to the Factory series, they are true adjustable coil overs in the front--which I had on my last truck and loved.
I was just wanting to get some opinions on whether you felt it was worth the upgrade/cost for performance improvement.

I just had mine installed yesterday and have only driven home from shop and to work this morning. They're set to the middle setting which is street, they are more firm than factory from what I can tell. I did not change the collars and mine left the front at factory height. I wish I would've known. I would've raised it, but when I called Fox before installing they said I would get up to two inches. Well it didn't, mine must be set to 0. For now it's okay, my truck sits level. My rear leaf springs have already settled. When I upgrade to Deavers and decide how much I'll lift I want in the rear I'll go mess around with the collars for more preload. The shop I went to does tons of these set ups. The owner himself and technician said they liked these over Kings and Icons. When we went for a test drive he said "Wow, these are going to be tough to beat".
I bought mine from Neo Garage, great pricing and everything arrived in good order and had ZERO ISSUES. I don't see any reason not to use them again.

I called Fox today and they said no turns on the preload is stock height, and 1" of preload on the threads is 2" of additional ride height. I am going to try 3/4" of preload on the threads and will report back.

No they don't. Mine were installed were no preload unknowingly and I came out with zero lift. I plan on adding some preload once I get my rear springs. 0df384f4b66b07626052c0a8a5fd6492.jpg

Same here, no preload. I'll do it later. My rear springs have settled and I'm currently level.
