Thank you for all the good replies, its unfortunate that this one feature is available on the vast majority of the f-150 line but not that raptor. It seems like it would be an easy change at the factory but I'm not the one to know.

Also, as was said, stop and go can be a life saver in traffic. Anecdotally, my wife's Volvo XC90 has a pretty good version of it and it has worked wonders on th commute.

I appreciate the feedback.

I guess you guys didnt read the full article posted by mmp. Here is the excerpt from it about the stop function from the ACC:

"The adaptive cruise control system allows the pickup to match the speed of the vehicle in front of it, even allowing it to come to a full stop if necessary and then shutting off the engine to save fuel. The result will be better overall fuel economy for those who spend a good chunk of their work day in stop-and-go traffic."

So, looks like it will have this feature for the raptor at least in 'Normal' and 'Weather' modes. (At least according to this article.)

No it shuts off at 12mph or so and beeps at you. When you get going again you can turn it back on at 20mph. Definitely the one feature I wish it had.

Yup. I'm hoping (but not counting on) that it's a software/firmware upgrade that could be installed instead of a hardware change.

I hope you're right but the spec sheet on this thread :http://www.fordraptorforum.com/f260/2018-spec-sheet-55410/
Has a distinct difference in listing the ACC under the Raptor as opposed to all the other F-150 trim levels.

The 2018 buying guide from Ford is already out. This article is wrong.

I'm also curious what the minimum following distance is in stop and go traffic with a stop/start cruise system. One car length - the current minimum distance (which is actually more than a car length btw) - in stop and go traffic will not work. I hope the system lets you get closer to the car in front as speeds decrease.

Retrofit stop and go?

So, another question: I saw some folks retrofitted a F150 with adaptive cruise control. I wonder if we will be able to retrofit the raptor with stop and go?

I had the stop and go breaking system in my Infiniti Q50 and I loved it. It would only hod you at a dead stop for about 5-10 seconds, then it would beep at you and release the breaks. I wish I had it in my Raptor.
