Hahahahahaha

sounds like a Subaru with a fart pipe.

what a ******* joke...

I find such comments "interesting"...

We're in a transitional time of performance right now. Even though groups like FCA and GM want to embrace the big displacement ways of the past... the future is small displacement turbo FI. Maybe it doesn't sound as great, but is that a good reason to stay in the past?.... because it sounds good? Trust me... if a the Subaru STI's I've heard rolling around, can sound as badass as I've heard some of them to be... a 3.5L TTV6 Raptor can sound badass too. Give it time.

Welcome to the now... If you open your mind a bit... you'll like it here.

I have heard three of these now, two in person, one on this video. I think the trucks looks fantastic.

I think they need to back to work on the the sound, which is just as important as the looks. The Ford GT has a much better sound, so with that setup it is possible.

Yes I love my trucks sound, but I also have a flat 6 that sounds just as badass as my Raptor, so it is possible with 6 cyl engines (yeah I know apples to oranges).

I think Ford is way underestimating the need to make a visceral statement with the Raptor. Hopefully the aftermarket can lend a hand.

I happen to love the sound of an STI too as they are a boxer engine. They sound nothing like the Raptor or any other v6 for that matter though. The WRX and STI have always had their own unique sound. More so the STI since the WRX has an equal length header now. It always makes me laugh when someone compares the sound of an STI to a Honda as they sound about as similar as a weedeater and a streetbike. If someone like Akrapovic or another high end manufacturer jumps on board to really do some actual tuning on the exhaust it may sound decent but I don't see the likes of Magnaflow, MBRP, Flowmaster or even Corsa or Borla doing anything to change the tone much without spending a crap ton of money on it.

If the production truck sounds like the Ford GT then I won't hate the sound nearly as much as I think the GT sounds pretty badass but at least all of the YouTube videos that I have seen of the Raptor sound like complete shit. Just typical V6 truck with annoying exhaust.

For anyone that wants to hear one of the better quality Ford GT videos that has been shared a few times on the forum already here it is.

Now if the truck sounds that clean I'll be super impressed. Ignore the annoying guy talking through the video and skip to around 2:05

This!! I have been trying to get my lady to understand this for years. Thank God she doesn't make a living as a videographer!!

Turn your tv's at home sideways for a day. Tell her it's so you can watch all the videos she's taken. That'll fix her...

Y'all who don't like the sound: Don't worry. You'll be far enough behind it that you won't be able to hear it. Lol

By the way, @Chris's FX4 has an exhaust video that looks and sounds like a better representation of the finished product. Night and day difference from the video in the OP.
