Y'all who don't like the sound: Don't worry. You'll be far enough behind it that you won't be able to hear it. Lol

By the way, @Chris's FX4 has an exhaust video that looks and sounds like a better representation of the finished product. Night and day difference from the video in the OP.

I still don't think it sounds that bad.

For anyone that wants to hear one of the better quality Ford GT videos that has been shared a few times on the forum already here it is.

Now if the truck sounds that clean I'll be super impressed. Ignore the annoying guy talking through the video and skip to around 2:05

I spend a ridiculous amount of time listening to customers exhaust every day through cell phone videos sent to us and I can honestly say that's one of the worst sounding clips I've come across in a long time! And the video of the GT on the tract at full song isn't much better! Now I realize Ford didn't build the Jen 2 for customers who want to drive it off road, but come on at least make the truck sound decent!!! Oh wait, their trying their hardest and can't

I think the GT sounds a 1,000 times better than the Raptor from at least what we have heard. The GT has more of an exotic sound to it. I agree they should work on the exhaust note for the Raptor but for what the engine is in the GT I don't think it sounds that bad. We can't exactly expect it to sound like a Ferrari with the engine design they used the sound just doesn't fit the truck. Hopefully the production trucks sound a lot better in person than all of the videos we've seen so far.

The more I replay that clip of the blue one doing pulls, the more I realize I couldn't live with that exhaust note. It either completely muted or brrappy like a trombone or trumpet.

Music to your ears compared to the V8 audible assault . People clear the trails when they hear the mighty boss echoing off the canyon walls.

I will reserve final judgement until I hear an aftermarket upgrade, though.

I think it sounds better in the 2nd and 3rd videos where the truck is moving and there is a load on the engine. The blue truck doesn't sound as good just revving it up in neutral.

Completely agree, pulls in neutral or park aren't representative of actual note under load. But, the ONE clip we have to date under load is not really "here, take my 70 large Ford" exhaust note material. More refined and gentelmanly. Certainly more evolved. Too polite and refined for me, haha.

You mean compared to the gen 1 that needs different bumpers for approach angle, upgraded shocks, bending frames, tons of power adders and still is inferior? Ya, exhaust is exactly what defines an off-road vehicle...

Remind us who you work for so we can cross them off our list

I swear... Some people's yunguns!

It's simply mind boggling to me that anyone with any logical sense would let something as silly as "sound" have any bearing on their decision about a vehicle (whether they like it, would buy it, etc). It can't be that there are this many illogical, irrational and just downright silly folks here, can it?

So what is it? Is the real story that you're just upset that the new generation will outperform the previous generation? Is it that you're mad because the new generation will likely hurt, to some extent, your resale values? What is it? Because I just can't believe that something as silly as sound frequencies can make such whiny babies out of such big, burly, brawny specimens of masculinity.

Here's the thing. I've owned the V8s that Ford has recently used in their trucks. They're great engines. Never had a problem. Having said that, once I owned my first 3.5 Ecoboost truck, I have no desire to go back to the V8s. Why? Because the Ecoboost outperforms the V8s in every category, but particularly, with regard to all things "truck". Throw on a tune, and it's not even close! The available torque at low rpms and the ability to continually pull hard just soundly trumps the V8s in all aspects of what I look for in a truck.

Does it "sound" as good as the V8s? No. Do I care? Nope. I couldn't care less if it sounded like a sewing machine or a weedeater, but if I DID care about the sound in the new Raptor, guess what: They make mufflers that'll quieten it down.

It's just silly, guys. Seriously. Y'all sound like a bunch of 16 year old girls who've been grounded from Twitter!

It's from arogent asses sayng the first gen sucked compared to a vehicle we know nothing about yet other than the sound.
