Wonder if ecobeast could be related to the new Ford GT instead

Probably the Mustang and the Raptor.

Dodge is throwing the Hellcat motor into the challenger and charger and they (Chrysler/Fiat) just patented the name 'Track Hawk' which is a play on the Jeep 'Trail Hawk' name and the speculation is that they will throw the Hellcat motor into the Grand Cherokee SRT 8 and name it the Track Hawk.

If the 'EcoBeast' is a powerful and versatile motor like the Hellcat motor Ford will most likely use 'EcoBeast' on the most powerful Mustang and Raptor versions they come out with just like Dodge/Jeep/Chrysler/Fiat is doing with the Hellcat.

I don't mind turbos, but I think any term with "eco" in it should stay off the Raptor.

Looks like Ecobeast has to do with Ford Racing's Ecoboost crate engines.
