If the Atlas type of concept is what they went with then yeah that'd be cool.

I hope FORD offers simple little options such as , mudflaps and clear 3m tape on the bottom of the sides and front of the hood! Would also like to see more offroad lighting selections, but I guess the vendors wouldn't, lol.

Is there really a movement to ban the V8? I've read some crazy stuff on the internets recently, don't know who these ****** bags think they are to tell me how many cylinders I can have. There's others calling for an extra tax for ******** with v8s. I'm not sure about these libtards these days (no offense to local liberals, I'm sure there's a couple good ones.)

Autos must average 54.5 mpg by 2025, new EPA standards say

The Obama administration announced strict new vehicle fuel-efficiency standards Tuesday, requiring that the U.S. auto fleet average 54.5 miles per gallon by 2025, an uncontroversial move that, unlike other administration energy policies, was endorsed by industry and environmentalists alike.

The new rules, announced by Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood and Environmental Protection Agency administrator Lisa P. Jackson, expand on existing standards requiring American-made cars and light trucks to average 34.5 mpg by 2016. They will significantly cut U.S. oil consumption and greenhouse gas emissions by the time they are fully implemented, according to the EPA.

“These fuel standards represent the single most important step we’ve ever taken to reduce our dependence on foreign oil,” President Obama said in a statement.

So youre one of those that has to compensate with a big loud truck to reaffirm your manliness I see.

Ive had loud and quiet vehicles and prefer quiet. Loud exhaust on the highway gets annoying very quickly and is just not needed. Sure a deep sounding v8 is nice and all but if that what sells you a truck youre an idiot. Throw some aftermarket exhaust on whatever you have and call it a day because news flash, the exhaust is what gives the motor its sound, not the motor itself. Wonder why Ferrari has a patent on their exhaust note and exhaust setup? Because its what gives the ferrari its signature sound.

Ever heard a BMW m3 with a v8? It sounds raspy instead of deep. Why? Because Europeans prefer raspy exhaust over deep 'american' exhaust.

You ignorant *********! You honestly think an exhaust system can make an 8 cylinder sound like a 12 cylinder or vice versa?

Of coarse you were because its an obvious rebuttal but lets switch gears away from the race built motors and look at long haul trucks. I personally worked for a company that had a couple trucks with over 500k miles on the original turbo. There is absolutely zero reasons why a turbo gas motor in a consumer truck wont be reliable.

*********! You just switched from off-road to on-road and you thought no one would notice?!?

A : don't take the BMW high rpm V8 as a standard for what eurepaans want..

B : RPM / Bore / stroke / firing order / exhaust layout etc define the sound
Example, compare V8 from mercedes(check pagani ) , BMW and Ford
All their own sound..

C : if beeing an Man or an American is defined by you're engine...i feel said

D: ...i want one.. and with gas prices double/tripple of the US here, the economics help, but doesn't take away from the fact its not a hemi or bigblock with carborators,

Lets just see what next year will bring..enjoy the truck.

Btw No one forces you to buy it..
