Just picked her up and drove 70 miles (mostly highway).
Overall I am thrilled and still grinning, but spending a large chunk of money can jade the view a little (hope it is not here).
I was nervous about ordering Performance Blue and Recaros without seeing them, but more than thrilled with both. I had tuxedo black on my 14 and dark graphite metallic on 12 550 - it was time for a change. I have also never ridden in a 17 or 18.
The Recaros are comfortable. There is bolstering, but it is much more comfortable than the 14 seats. Bolstering is not too pronounced and I look forward to taking it off-road and see what they feel like. Overall, the seat is more comfortable than the 14. The ventilated seats actually blow cold air and it is much more pronounced than the 14. It was 60 degrees so of course the air was cold to start - just wanted to try it. We will see when it is a 100 degrees, but the airflow was greater. Also looking forward to not sitting on black leather when it is a 100 here. Love the Carbon fiber package.
Ride - fells tighter than the 14, but not in a bad way. No floating. Have almost all highway so far so probably not the greatest time to review. I think it rides better than the 14, but I think the cabin noise is greater in the 19- not positive, but those are my first thoughts. It feels like it is sitting a couple of inches higher than my 14, but could be in my head.
Engine sound- as expected, this is where it lacks. Not really a fan of it, but I will be fine with it, especially since the Sirius radio goes to the 300s and I get the Faction channel back. I never rode in a 17 or 18, but surprised that was the sound they chose to pipe in.
B&O radio- not perfect, but a 1,000 times better than the Sony. Works for me, may not for some
Adaptive cruise control - it works and will take getting used to. Slowing can sometimes be very gradual or small and then you look down and realize you have slowed down too much and are following a car going 60 in a 75. I will have to play with the adjustments.
Did not turn on lane assist yet
Love having push start, side cameras, and automatic wipers back. What can I say, I love technology.
Debating on taking it easy and going off road Saturday (99% chance of going, lol, but I do not think I will “labor” the engine).
Did not get the Pano - too many horror stories scared me and I may have used mine once a year in my 14.
All in all - extremely happy except the engine sound, which I knew would be underwhelming.
