I have a build date for next Monday but still can not pull up the window sticker. Is this normal? Dealer called and said to expect delivery by the 3rd of March

Is that your build WEEK? Or build date? Bet the Monday date is your build week. I didn't see mine until 5 business days prior from the build date, not week.

My build week was suppose to be this week, called svt today an they said that my build week is now Feb. 24. This sucks, so I am guessing they are behind due to the weather.

Its all a crock. They probably would prefer you cancel so they can sell it at MSRP when it arrives. They got the allocation for one because a customers name was attached to the order, that doesn't count towards their stock allocation.

Not true! This truck did count towards their allocation and if they don't take delivery of it, they'll essentially lose out on one of their pieces of allocation. They would prefer customers don't cancel their orders because now they have to sell a truck that someone else ordered. Dealers don't get any extra Raptor allocation no matter how many customers special order.

The part about it being hard to sell a white SuperCab is BS though, but they would still rather have a customer spec out their own vehicle rather than take one somone else built.

Good morning Blood,
I have a different type of order question for you please. I cancelled my order from my original dealer when the February delivery they promised me obviously wasn't going to happen. I ended up getting my deposit back and I found an almost identical clone sitting on another dealers lot. I got my deposit back and bought the in-stock Raptor. Now just for curiosity I checked the original order yesterday and it appears to be heading for a mid-March build week. I thought that customer orders were cancelled when a customer backs out before an order is pulled? I'm wondering why the dealer is still going to order the truck as I configured it when the original sales manager demanded a rather large down payment because he said "I won't be able to move a white SCab in this area". Just Wondering. Any insight Blood? Thanks.

not good mojo to cancel a raptor, they have many options of selling it.
it will be a hot item for them or a dealer trade for almost anything they want from another dealer.

Thanks Blood,

Interestingly enough, I checked my old order again the other day and learned that my originally ordered Raptor is scheduled for a mid-March build week. That means I would have seen that truck late April or early May. A far cry from the February delivery I was promised. Some may say two more months isn't that big of a deal but up here in the northeast without a 4x4 and with the winter we are having, two months without was an eternity.

I love my truck and I knew going in I was going to have a wait but, like in politics, people are getting tired of having smoke blown up their asses. By anyone! If the original dealer couldn't get my ordered truck when promised, they should have just been honest with me. It's almost funny that the original dealer is now calling me again no doubt to tell me that I finally have a "build date". Que sera, sera. Maybe next time that dealer won't be so flippant when a motivated customer knows exactly what he wants and is willing to spend the $50K plus to get it.

BTW, I ended up getting a much better deal on my Raptor than I would have received from the original dealer. I guess fate was on my side this time. Thanks again for your insight Blood.

Thanks Blood, my dealer had copied me the wrong VIN on the original. I'm going to imagine that is the build date, not the fastest vehicle I've ever ordered that's for sure. :angry94:
