Fancy, expensive and illegal jammers don't win the rally. Most cops are very good at visual speed recognition. Luck and driving sense will get you much further. Good luck and run your own rally.

I know the top contender is sporting a very expensive and difficult to obtain barrage jammer. It is basically the same they used in Iraq... It effectively jams 20-3000Mhz, so it makes gps, cell, cb, vhf, frs, and wifi basically useless within 1 mile ( depending on antennas, terrain, etc).

It is an hell of an idea, but the risks are not worth it.. If caught using it you can face up to $11,000, confiscate equipment (car, radio, etc), and possible jail time.

To jam less than 250MHz takes a very large amount of power. As in most of these vehicles don't have the room in them to house an amplifier of that size. To effectively do this with a hand held device is almost impossible outside of a 10ft range. To broadcast a unidirectional pulse modulated signal in this range and have it be effective at over 1/4 mile would be a work of magic.

Above 1GHz frequencies are much easier to manipulate and broadcast with less power.

I do this stuff all day long. As a matter of fact I'm working on jamming TPMS and RKE(Keyfob) functions right now on a ford project. Or trying to atleast.

We will keep everyone updated on our location and destinations.. Trying to figure some way to do real time tracking (like spot) without incriminating myself.. ;)

The Raptor and I will be in Montreal Thursday 30th or so. I will pick up Sean (sportscars) at the airport Friday and head to check in. The Rally starts the 1st at an undisclosed location. I will be driving and Sean will be updating FRF, Facebook and other places as well as navigating. I am going to try and do a nightly recap/pictures and etc on squatting dog racing page and FRF.

As soon as we get everything planned out we will put up links to all the stuff..

Since FRF is a sponsor they will be getting the most current and up to date information
