Just done my 2013 Raptor Sync 2 to Sync 3 upgrade. I'm running Sync 3.4 and I can confirm my front camera still works. The trick is indeed to make sure that "camera delay" is on, off-road mode, diff lock, camera on (vehicle apps), then reverse, wait a second and back into N or D.

Awesome! How did you get 3.4? Mine is stuck at 3.0 and doesn’t show an available update

So I can confirm that my surround setup for SYNC 3 on my 2014 works using the NavTV F-CAM and NavTV DIFF-CAM along with Camera Source Side Mirror cameras and a replaced front camera. We retained my factory rear camera. It requires pushing the volume button and holding it to activate, but this is easier than the factory setup. It does have some bugs and doesn't always take over the screen when I am in CarPlay. But it does always take over automatically when I am parking and go to reverse and then to drive. So I am satisfied.
Did you ever get a video of it? What was your total cost for everything? Did you install it yourself?

I haven't uploaded any videos. This can't compete with the newer surround view setups. It is just one camera at a time, but that still helps with parking.

Parts:
Fcam $550
Diffcam $150
Side cam $140
Side cam $140
Front cam $125

I didn't install myself. The camera labor cost was minimal as the vehicle was already disassembled for the rest of the projects at the time. I am sure a quote to do stand alone would be a lot more.

ebay. It came from China. I bought it when they had their last 10% back ebay bucks coupon. It came programmed.

Did you have to give them the VIN at all before they shipped it?

Looking on eBay and the kits have actually become somewhat reasonable for the upgrade. Makes me want to take the plunge.

I am looking to do the upgrade during my wfh period. There are a few sellers on eBay that seem solid.
