So I have been looking at adding surround cameras to my 2014 with Sync3 and speaking with a few vendors. Here is what I'm thinking of trying.

Naviks NK1316
https://naviks.com/i-24076260-2016-2019-ford-f-150-sync-3-360-camera-system-interface.html

Plus a replaced front camera from camera source https://camera-source.com/automotive-cams/ford-font-side-cameras/ford-raptor-front-camera-kit.html (we don't think my factory one will work with this setup)

And the two side cameras from camera source https://camera-source.com/automotive-cams/ford-font-side-cameras/automotive-side-camera-kit.html (mounted below the side mirrors)

Any thoughts?

That setup did not work with Naviks on my 2014 with Sync3. Never got the side or front cameras to display.

Next try is using Nav-TV:

MFT-FCAM
https://navtv.com/products/NTV-KIT831/mft-fcam.html

DIFF-CAM Switcher

Has anyone noticed the climate control doesnt seem very.... automatic?

Example: Cab temperature is easily 40-50 degrees. But setting the temp at 65 blows cold air. Roll the dial to 70+ and it starts blowing warm air. Roll the dial back to 65 and it blows ice cold air again, even though the cab temp is still very cold at most 50 degrees.

Its as if Sync 3 is ignoring or doesn't know what the current temp inside the cab currently is.

I went through the ASBUILTs and nothing really jumped out at me. The only thing I can think of is if this setting needs to be adjusted:

7D0-01-02 xxxx x*xx xxxx
Mode Man Icon [Climate] (MMI) & Climate Control Type (CCT) &
Surround Sound Avail in Occupancy Mode (SSA) & Nav Repeater Format (NRF)
To enable screen reader support, press Ctrl+Alt+Z To learn about keyboard shortcuts, press Ctrl+slash

My current value there is 0.

Never really thought about that. I’m not sure we have automatic AC. I think the temp on the screen refers to the the temp coming out of the vents, not the desired temp of the cab. I’d like to get one of those laser thermometers and verify that.

I just did a sync 2 to a sync 3 upgrade on my 2013 raptor screw. Everything seems to be working perfectly. My APIM was manufactured in 8/3/19 (I don't know if this is european or US date) HJ7T-14G370-FED. I have sync 3.2 with nav and 1 18 maps. My question is can I update to 3.4 and is it even worth it?

Where did you get your sync 3 from?

awesome thanks, I've been looking for awhile but wasn't sure if I should buy one from a vendor from china or 4D.

Just done my 2013 Raptor Sync 2 to Sync 3 upgrade. I'm running Sync 3.4 and I can confirm my front camera still works. The trick is indeed to make sure that "camera delay" is on, off-road mode, diff lock, camera on (vehicle apps), then reverse, wait a second and back into N or D.

So I can confirm that my surround setup for SYNC 3 on my 2014 works using the NavTV F-CAM and NavTV DIFF-CAM along with Camera Source Side Mirror cameras and a replaced front camera. We retained my factory rear camera. It requires pushing the volume button and holding it to activate, but this is easier than the factory setup. It does have some bugs and doesn't always take over the screen when I am in CarPlay. But it does always take over automatically when I am parking and go to reverse and then to drive. So I am satisfied.
