You can't blame Ford. It was the catastrophe in Japan. You can't blame Japan, either. Shit happens. You just have to deal with it. And I'm dealing with it by crying myself to sleep tonight.

Yes you can blame Ford, for offering a product the don't have. They could have found other suppliers by now. You notice that the Raptor is the first truck to get bumped. It's because they know they won't lose that sale. They say screw the Raptor, these people will wait it's not like They are going to buy GM or Dodge...:flamingdevil::flamingdevil:

Not quite. Manufacturing is a tough business. Once you have deals made to get certain parts you don't expect to outsource even when there's a shortage. The cost is just too great. Also, it's my understanding that the Tuxedo Black paint is only made from some Japanese company? If that's true then there is not even an option of outsourcing. Front camera and rear camera could be made by Sony but then again I'm unsure. They probably offer these options since they were part of the vehicle's options when it was first released and, once again, nobody expected the earthquake and tsunami to occur in Japan.

Now, I'm not quite sure if this shortage only applies to Raptors only but if you're right then I completely agree on that part. **** move by Ford if that's true. But yeah, they have me locked down because my only other option out of the Raptor is a H1. And I'm not quite prepared for the maintenance on that money suck so I'll be sticking with the Raptor.

I have to confirm this info also. SORRY

If you have an order that has an "01" priority code on it, please reply to me or your zone manager when you change the order or provide me with a different order number. :wtf:Also, please keep in mind we are only scheduling stock orders at this time. This means NO "Retail Pre-Sold" Raptors are being pulled YET.
Tuxedo Black Paint (UH)
Front Camera (76F)
Rear Camera (76C) (part of Lux Pkg)
Graphics Package (55R)
Raptor Graphics Package (55G)

To recap the only equipment options you CAN get on Raptor are 63E Bed Extender, 63T Tailgate Step, and 43M moonroof. everything else is tried to Graphics or the cameras.

Randy, am I missing something here? Is Ford more interested in putting a truck on a lot to sit there and maybe get bought than in building someone's dream ride that they know is sold? Did I misunderstand that sentence?

By the way, that custom "Randy" graphic you have there is badass! You deserve it, buddy!:waytogo:

Have at you!

LOL, well hell. This is what happened last time, I ordered a truck, some were put on hold, I bought one off the lot. This is why I don't pre-order video games, I can go to Walmart and pick it up and be back home while others are standing in line to get their pre-orders.

I was really wanting this truck by Christmas, I hope Ford figures this shit out. Single sourcing is ridiculous and no way to run a business.

ah this sucks. Hopefully it doesn't push things any longer than the 2 week or whatever delay on stock orders only. Let them fill the dealers lots with bare bones Raptors, just get me mine by Christmas! We always get hit with usually 1 big snow storm in late December, and pounded in January. My '85 won't cut it in that weather lol

Grande Ford in San Antonio. Sounds like it was not BS. Dealer told me exactly what others have posted. No cameras no graphics no black. Unbelievable! Why cant Ford just build these damn things so we can drive them.

I had my Raptor dropped shipped there, but I ordered from Randy.

Were still a month plus away from first build. This kind of stuff happens almost every model year rollout, and the only way you would even know, is if you have a truck on order. The only differance this year, is that Ford is going to pull and build some "Stock" Raptors, before they build "Sold Retail" trucks. I was told for quaility control. If they have any issues, they would be holding dealer "For Stock" trucks, not customer Sold units.

I had 6 2011 Customer "SOLD" Raptors held last year for more than a month. ASK Droid (Todd)..................... He paid more $$ and bought off a CA dealer lot, so he could get his business tax deduction.
