I picked up my 1st Raptor last month and always wanted one! I know it has a lot of miles but the 6 page carfax report sold me on it. And plus to pull my Lightning to the track!!!
Well it had code PO020 and wasent running to good. Only getting 11.5 MPG. So i finally got around to replacing my driver side VVT solenoid, (in valve cover) and was amazed on how much of a difference it has made! Truck pulls much better and as you can see its getting way better gas mileage... oh yea, 5.4 scab.jpg

This is the 5.4's redeeming quality over the 6.2... mileage. Then again, I didn't get a Raptor for good mileage...

Yeah 12.5 when I first got mine. Up to 14 now with a high quality oil (Amsoil) and Airaid intake. I've heard a good tune will get another 1mpg though...

Crying Jordan really? At least it'll be a fun 12 mpg! :dancingpoop:

I’m only sad I got my hopes up for a few more MPG hehe

I REALLY don’t care about the MPG, I’ve always viewed it as you gotta pay to play. I had an evo 9 back in the day that got 12 mpg like this truck so I’m use to it.
