20" OnX6 which one?

I'm putting an Impulse light bar on my truck and need help on which OnX6 i should put on it. I just put a BD S-8 behind the grill. It has the combo lenses. Seems to have a good light spread. I do have the spot lenses for the S-8 but don't see where that would be needed. The OnX6+ seems like a better choice than the racers edition. I'll run amber lense on it in the winter. Would the spot lense be best in the Summer and just adjust it at a different focal point than where the S-8 hits? Thinking of having the S-8 lower(it's pretty high right now) and the OnX6 out farther. Don't have anything in the fog light holes and have no plans to put anything there. I like sticking my foot in there when I change the oil.

If you're going to be running the Onx6+ on the Impulse Offroad front mount, the light bar itself will not be hindered by the grill but will obviously be a bit lower than your S8. If you're running at high speeds frequently, a spot beam Onx6 will definitely project a ton of light forwards. If you're not running at high speeds all the time, the driving/combo might be more suited to your needs as it does a very good job of both distance and width light dispersion.

We love the Racer edition lights. But they are designed to be such a hyper focused, ultra long distance spot beam that unless you're running at high speeds constantly we don't recommend them. Plus the racers tend to be slightly less bright when compared to the other models offered by Baja (ie, Squadrons, Squadrons XL, etc).

Should you ever decide on more lights, our universal fog light bracket can support a single pair of lights which would still leave plenty of room for your foot when changing the oil. There's also a-pillar lighting too. But a 30" S8 and a 20" Onx6+ is going to produce a lot of light.

I say buy the combo lens and the all wide corning lens. I have both. Every now and again I feel a little frisky and change between the two. The all wide cornering is my go to because this is a low bumper mounted light and I want as much light as possible in front of me.

Where do you feel you need more light? The S8 Driving/Combo behind the grille provides 75% distance output so it's getting you a solid amount of distance already. If you feel you want the same pattern then I'd go Driving/Combo on your OnX6+ again. But if you want more coverage, then I'd go Wide Cornering. Really just depends on your needs more than anything else and how you plan to use. We can customize the setup for you with the lens covers, lens kits, and wiring needed to get you all dialed in. Thanks everyone for the input. Haven't been able to go out off road yet since we got snow. Don't want the reflection off the snow to throw it off. Sounds like I would be best to change the center lense on the S-8 to a spot then run the combo on the OnX6+. Going out tonight to at least try some 75mph on lonely roads. I do want some distance lighting since I've come within inches of hitting elk before in my F350(06) with its crappy stock headlights.

If you want distance you really should consider XL80s with Spot lenses (which we offer) on your a-pillars. That'll give you the best results down range over a lower bar. It'll clear more bumps on your path.

Got it. Thanks. Had to look at it. Only way it would be worth the hassle of pulling the grill apart is to change all three lens.

Agreed. Truthfully, I don't think it would be worth the time or hassle. When my truck had the stock bumper, I ran the 30" S8 behind the grille with the Unlimited fog light kit. Driving 75mph down a pitch black highway in deer country, I was not close to outrunning my lights. And this was the old S8 before Baja Designs upgraded the chips and boards and output increased by ~50%.
