The new one piece, full circle style seals ( I say new, but have been around since the late 80's) rarely leak. When they do, it is usually an installation problem where the seal lip is "rolled" during installation. I wouldn't be too concerned about reoccurance when your dealers Master tech installs it correctly.(And I know he will)

Hey, that torque converter looks really familiar!

He said it was kind of a pain to get out. The skid plates, cats, O2 sensor wires etc were all 'in the way'. He said a SD tranny was much easier to remove. I think he said it was close to 2 hrs.

Update Weds afternoon: The new seal is in and the tranny has been installed. They're just putting the rest of the 'stuff' back on. Then it's off to get the rear bumper aligned, steering wheel straightened and 3 clearcoat nicks seen to. Should have her back tomorrow

It also has the 'scratched' instrument cluster bezel - which can only be seen in directl sunlight and seems a common problem.

Well I have my Raptor back. She now has a new rear main seal - the tech showed me the old seal, the only problem was that he couldn't find anthing wrong with it, or the way it had been installed. Here's a pic of the old one:

My bumper has been leveled, new instrument cluster is on order and I'm a happy Raptor owner again.
