Where are the Vacuum lines breaking and whats the cause? How are you fixing?

Yeah, I'm already getting several reports of IWEs failing on this generation...common problem on the first gen. Granted, most seem to be on trucks running 37s or above, but there are a few 35s that have failed.

Curious about this myself.

Does the 'break' fluid work on everything or just fixes some stuff?Sorry Kent couldnt resist.

I am very jealous of these runs you do, keep posting them! Nothing like that out east.

Nice trips, I'm still uneasy about driving alone in Mexico.

This fall I am headed back to Utah......
Can you please explain more about the vacuum line? exactly which one and maybe even the part number. Sorry, I know I am asking a lot but I would like to prepare. I also do my runs alone (wife & I), I would like to add this part to my packing list, if it's possible to change in the field.

Is the truck drivable when it breaks?

Every time I read one of Kent's posts I wonder if I'll ever make enough money to not give a **** and disappear for a week at a time and beat up my 70k truck + 10k in mods.

Living the life! I find these motivational, keep 'em coming!

vac line is for 4wd. i believe if the line has issues you will be stuck in 2wd.

i think bypassing the whole system isnt a bad idea if you have an open front diff. still a little unsure about a torsen, i need to drive one locked in 2wd first.
