Speed issue

Hi, My 2013 Raptor now has 3800 miles on it. Thought it would be time to take her out and see what she will do. Well around 100 mph that was it . I had test drove a extended cab model at a local dealership and I no it was probably bad on my part but I got it up to 130 mph with a lot more left on the peddle I was sure.
I assumed the 2013 6.2L in mine and the 2013 6.2L that I test drove were going to have the same top end. Do I need to upgrade something disconnect something?

I love my new Raptor it is the greatest truck I have ever owned and really did expect to have capability to bury the speedometer if ever needed to. off road of course...

Time for a tune to get around the limiter
Someone had told me to pull the abs fuse but I thought that sounds stupid if I ever wanted to hammer down I would have to stop and pull the fuse??
Got a tuner brand in mind??

I put super chips in my service trucks (3 of them) they are a little older 99' 00'01' 7.3L diesel. Would the 2013 raptor tuner be the same type of install?

Talk to Mike at 5 Star. He will help you out with a sct tuner. Just add one of his tunes and you will notice a difference in shifting and no speed limiter.

Can you give me a phone number or web address?
Was it true with the ABS fuse does it eliminate the limiter?

Any time! That's what this place is for. I wouldn't recommend anybody tell I have personally tried there products. The tuner is great. I also went with the AFE stage 2 intake. The combination of the two is worth the money.

At 130mph, you would have left the tires in the dealers parking lot. Chris at Freedom Motorsports can get you set up with a tuner and tires that are speed rated higher than our BFG's. Hope you can afford the tickets.:driver:
