It’s not as bad as it sounds… I had a 2021 37 package and took delivery in the first two weeks of Gen 3 deliveries. Sold it 3 months later when the value skyrocketed thinking I’d buy another one. That was a bad idea because all my MSRP dealers started adding adm.

I ended up not finding another one at msrp and put in an order for a 2023 Avalanche because I always regretted not getting that color with the Gen2. While waiting for that order, I got a call from a guy I reached out to that had a customer back out of an Atlas Blue 2022 35 truck. So I bought it. I really liked the Atlas Blue more than I thought I would and almost kept it when the heated wheel was getting deleted, but when the Avalanche finally arrived I was able to get my money back out of the Atlas.

After having the Avalanche for a few months I ended up not liking the color as much as I thought I would, so I went back to a 2023 Oxford. Now I should be good for a bit…

In hindsight, I wish I would have kept the 2021 37 package, I actually liked the blue interior.

I keep coming back to this thread because Baha HQ, RPG and my dealer all suggest collars vs springs. I can understand why RPG (literally next door to me) suggests collars since they don't make springs. But I was thrown off that Baja HQ said they have less issues with collars. The dealership also suggested collars. Why are they all suggesting I do collars when everyone here is saying springs?

What issues can they cite with springs? I haven't had any issues at all. Not saying this isn't possible, I'm more just curious so I can watch for issues.

Regarding collars, there is nothing wrong with them. They get the job done. But, they do change preload and they will make your front end ride slightly more stiff.

At the end of the day there's not a life-changing difference, just pick one and you'll be happy. If I lived or worked right next to RPG that's probably the route I would go.

The guys at Baja HQ hated springs from the first batch of Eibachs on the Gen 2. After that they just stuck to collars. Based on feedback I’ve seen it sounds like the 1” Gen 3 Eibachs are significantly better than the Gen 2 1.7/2.5” ones. I honestly don’t think Baja HQ has given them a chance. Nothing wrong with collars though, at least the small ones.

What color was your 21 37? And what’s been your favorite color so far? I like avalanche but feel it’s a bit overrated.

They both just kind of said, collars where the way to go if I was just looking to level it. If I wanted a big lift, springs were ok. IT seemed they both felt that for leveling only, that keeping the OEM spring with preload collar was a better option than just adding springs up front.

Yet I come here and its exact opposite...lol.

I think I am just going to do the collar. My dealer likes RPG. RPG is next door to me. I think normal suspension mode is way too soft so I use baja mode suspension. So maybe I will like a little preload.

That helps. I got to admit. I was shocked to hear the guy there tell me they like collars way more. I did not expect to hear that from them or the dealership. And I think you are right. Baja HQ spring choices where bring your own...

2021 Oxford
2022 Atlas Blue
2023 Avalanche
2023 Oxford (again)

I am a white truck guy. I think the white with dark contrast wheels speak to me. I'd love black or AMB, but my OCD will not like keeping those clean. Atlas Blue surprised me, I ended up liking it much more than I expected to.

Avalanche wasn't my favorite. It's a unique color for sure, but it always looked dirty to me.
