I had the same exact "issue" two of my Tundras with the 38 gallon tanks. In the case of Toyota, this behavior is by design. From what I was able to gather, the instrumentation treats the tank as if it hold only 32 gallons.... essentially giving you 6 gallons of reserve beyond what the...
I have a small group of 3" parallel scratches on a rear quarter panel that are thru the clear coat. 9 out of 10 people wouldn't notice and/or care but I am OCD about all my vehicles and am contemplating paying for a respray of the panel. My question is with regards to the relative difficulty...
Playing with the 2025 configurator.... all non-R 2025's are 801A only? .... and all come with graphics/decals? Doesn't appear to be any option to delete them.
Firestone put the wrong oil filter on my first Tacoma back in 2003.... I discovered this a couple days later. The truck was idling in my driveway when, by blind luck, I happened to witness it hemorrhage all 5qts of oil as the filter gasket finally separated.
if anyone needs to order the old style interface plates, these are $24 for a set of 4 (less than 1/2 the price of Ford OEM plates) and every bit equal in quality..... pretty much identical as far as I can tell. I just got a set because I was missing one.

I have had Wet Okole covers on the front seats of several of my prior trucks and I always assumed that they were pretty much the gold standard. I have not ordered a set for my Raptor yet.... not sure if I really need them at this point in my life.

You have no idea how happy this thread has made me. I had no idea that the back of the seat could fold down.
I leave the seat bottoms up all the time for my dogs so that extra storage space behind the seat backs is exactly what I needed.
Landed new front floor mats from BaseLayer.... these things are so nice I'm kicking myself for not buying the rear mat too as a discounted 3 piece set. So much nicer than weathertech, Husky, or OEM for that matter. And made in the USA too. 2 thumbs up...
Hey @BarneyRaptor I love your analog taste in vehicles.... longtime e92 M3 owner here and if I ever buy another SUV it will definitely be a URJ200. Good luck!
You could have done much better flying first class out to the east coast and driving home (or having the truck shipped). I guess that is the price you pay for all that sunshine. Good luck with it and enjoy!
I don't have a pic handy, but there is 10mm nut/bolt on the ground cable that is pretty much right off the battery that I believe is connecting the sensor apparatus. I didn't see this until I revisited it all this morning. It's only about 1" from the negative post of the battery, and just...
As a new Gen 3 first time Raptor owner, I'm not smart enough to advocate Gen 2 vs Gen 3. However, you can definitely get a mint pavement princess Gen 3 with less than 30k miles in the $65k range. If you haven't already, try the search filters on autotrader and cars dot com.
Thank you all. I will find a spot other than the negative battery terminal to connect the ground. I just don't like doing things without understanding why I'm doing it.
I've used a CTEK 4.3amp tender with every vehicle i've owned for the last 15 years or so. This includes everything from ATV's, to collector cars, to my daily drivers, etc. My standard practice is to just connect a CTEK pigtail (quick connector) to the positive and negative battery posts...
I'm coming to the conclusion that any 1/2 ton pickup regardless of trim level compared to a Raptor is 100% apples and oranges. My last Tundra was a Crewmax TRD Pro and I loved it.... but it's just not in the same species as a Raptor. Neither is my wife's LTZ Z71 Silverado. It's like cross...
After 4 Tacomas, 4 Tundras, and a 4Runner......
Really missed having a pickup as my daily and was getting sick of borrowing my wife's Silverado so I just traded in my 4R on a '23 Avalance 801A stripper because I refuse to buy a new hybrid Tundra Pro. Area Ford dealer had this one, bone...
