Curious if they did the recalibration procedure when you got your windshield replaced or if everything continued to work fine without it? I’m getting my windshield replaced and they quoted me $300 for the camera recalibration. However one shop I called for a quote doesn’t have the recalibration...
I tried this sensor system last year and love it. It emits a laser beam between the two wall mounted sensors and activates a buzzer inside the vehicle when the beam is broken by the vehicle. So it buzzes while you enter the garage and stops buzzing once your bumper is clear of the beam. Measure...
TFL did a video with spy shots of the gen3 out testing a week or so ago.
Got this email today saying the TRX debut is finally scheduled for 8/17 so hopefully we will hear Fords answer about the Gen3 soon as well.
No balance and no TPMS to save money. They actually don’t balance the spare tire on any of their trucks. On the raptor I find it kinda stupid because you get the exact same tire and rim as the other 4 on the truck. On other models you get a steel rim with a “similar” tire so it makes sense on...
I get it if you feel like you’re getting less for more and feel cheated and think Ford is just cheap. But I must be one of the few that doesn’t look down or on the dash to see what gear I’m in? Hell I didn’t even know the PRNDM didn’t light up on my ‘19 until a post last year when people were...
Left over 2019’s has nothing to do with “overproducing” or “dealers couldn’t move them” specifically regarding the raptor. The whole industry was down almost 2% in 2019 after record sales in 2017-18 and seven straight years of annual sales increases in a row. Ford was down 3% in 2019. Nobody saw...
The Ferrari thing is funny but I’d believe it. I’ve heard of some you tubers who register their exotics in Montana. I lived in ND for a few years a while back I and I knew of people that set up an LLC in Montana just to avoid sales tax on vehicles. Never lived there but day tripped it over to...
Do you actually have a residence in Montana or were you a Montana license plate scammer? Just wondering because theres a few sports cars rolling around where I live proudly displaying their “I’m to broke to be able to pay the taxes on this car Montana plates”
Before the Gen 1 and V8 trolls get me, I assume this because of the sheer volume of 2015-2019 trucks sold probably means a lot of wrecked trucks sitting in salvage yards
lol
My 2019 Raptor has the tail light design that was on the 2015-2017 F150s so it is different from the current 2018-2020 design. Other than that I saw no difference. Make sure you get the options right if you order on your own (led or halogen, Blind spot radar or not). Not sure if you can replace...
I wish Ford Performance had a program like Audi does for custom colors with some of their models.
When I was looking at an Audi you had the option to choose from something like 50 or 60 custom paint colors if you ordered the “Audi Exclusive” option. I remember it was a four or five grand add on...
Does this always seem to happen in the same area, neighborhood, or at the same businesses?
I had a similar problem with the proximity keys in a 2015 and 2017 F-150s. My 2019 has not had any issues. The issue that I had was I would go to certain businesses, BP gas stations in my area for...
Do you guys think the TRX if released as designed in the concept will be a practical vehicle for your standard DD pickup owner or be a niche vehicle like the GT500?
Just wondering if it will be a sustainable mass production vehicle or just a limited run to a small audience.
Just did a quick search for a news article I read in 2017 or 18. Didn’t find it but I’ll keep looking. The quick version was the police somewhere in Texas talking about how they were getting calls about 100s of trucks getting their locks popped but not stolen and maybe a few dozen trucks...
I agree I was just pointing out what the OP was going to do because I assume he got the idea on the internet somewhere. It’s not about the raptor but about 2015+ F150s in general and the amount stolen that gained national attention a few years ago. You can literally watch a video and then be...
Until the 3.5L does something similar? Seriously lol!
So the 3.5L ecoboost ran the Baja in 2010, they did it again in 2014 with the 2.7L ecoboost, and then a third time in 2016 with the 3.5L H.O. ecoboost in the Gen 2 raptor. Maybe more but I’m just going by the videos Ford put out through the...
You don’t want to just replace the cover, you need to replace the whole door handle or disconnect/remove the lock cylinder if you are worried about theft as the OP intends to do.
Even if the door is locked you can still pull the handle out far enough to break in with a pair of channel lock...
Hopefully not and something simple but this truck never fails to entertain.
The transmission sounds like cartoon laser sound effects and now the engine sounds like a downed power line haha!
I have to take my truck in next week for a whistling sound that is getting worse. It used to only do it on first start until things were warmed up then not again until it sat for a few hours. It will now do it on starts after the engine is warm but it is random. It is most pronounced on the...
At 6,600 miles and deal with this too. I’ve done enough research about this transmission in 2017+ F150s to know it’s not going to go away. The only thing I hate about this truck is the transmission. The hesitation, intermittent awkward shifting, clunking now and again, and whine noise it makes...
I would guess it’s just paranoia but remember for the future you can actually “overload” a raptor by just hauling around 4 fat friends and a cooler of beer! The max payload includes people, gear, the gas in the tank, and what’s in the glove box not just what’s in the bed! There should be a...
