2017... way before the bad batch of cameras. I think it was a fluke.

When mine went, it didn't go all at once. It would be wacky looking, turn off the truck and run in somewhere and it would be fine when I came out. That went on for several weeks and the dealer said it's typical for them to act up for a while, rather than just going out.

Just got mine back from the dealer. Took 2 months to get the parts in. Cameras replaced all good now.

Everybody’s got a skill.

Topical post. I got a prompt that there was a front cam. malfunction / service soon tonight. hit ok, checked cameras... they were fine.

Fluke?
Lucille pissed she hasn’t had a bath for a few months?
got service next week anyway.

That message refers to the IPM-A, which is the camera mounted on your interior rear view mirror for lane keep assist and pre-collision assist. If your windshield was dirty, the camera may not have been able to see through it, causing the warning message.

Hmm.
Thanks for that info. LKA is and was working even right after. And I had the windshield replaced this summer.

I’m going to mention to the s/a this week at the stealership

Curious if they did the recalibration procedure when you got your windshield replaced or if everything continued to work fine without it? I’m getting my windshield replaced and they quoted me $300 for the camera recalibration. However one shop I called for a quote doesn’t have the recalibration equipment and told me most don’t have it done but if you have a problem to get it done at the dealer? Insurance is paying the bill so I’ll get it done but damn, $300?

They did not. Once again, I tried to use safelite unsuccessfully. I know others on here have used them and had good results, but I’ve tried 3 times. 1st time : 6 MONTH wait. I’m not making that up. 2nd time, several weeks out either remotely or by coming to a service center. last time - mine, not my wife’s for a change, this summer. I go to the service center after they allegedly confirmed having my windshield, only to get told they don’t have it.

The shop that did the repair didn’t have the tools to calibrate. I did notice after replacement the intervention by lane keep assist was much better. Lucille and I like to color outside the lines sometimes ;-)

Did they replace it with an OEM windshield? Aftermarket windshields have known concerns with IPM-A and HUD functionality.

Yes, I sprang the extra couple of bills for the OEM glass. It was worth it IMO. If I get another crack though, I’m springing for the gorilla glass.

I haven’t had any other indications of trouble and definitely confirm LKA is working. Keeping an eye on it for now.
