That's what I paid. When I looked up the repair on you tube, it is absolutely something I could do myself if I had a lift and except for the flushing part. The dealership I go to for repairs has my full trust. Been going there for 27 yrs and never had a problem
I would be shocked to. Its just a matter of time. I would do it if I was you cause when it happens, it just goes. Looking back at it I do remember a couple warning signs like when I went merge on a highway and it seemed like it didn't want to shift. Mine was past warranty and the total cost was...
It actually is a slow problem. The problem is that the older Lead frame gets small metal particles that get on the contacts and causes them to short out. I have always kept up with the recommended tranny flush and mine crapped out at 190,000 miles. Big yellow wrench came up on the screen and it...
I have Kooks Long Tubes and Roush CAI. Did a Eddy Current Dyno tune. Im at 380 HP at the Wheels. Torque was in the 400s can't remember exactly. Definitely woke the truck up. Just know a Eddy Current Dyno is the most real world numbers as it factors in everything like the 35 inch tires and weight...
However the gaskets that came with the headers were those cheap crush type. Don't use those. The shop that installed my Kooks Headers and did my tube used a high quality Copper gaskets. Thats the way to go. The type that came with the headers are prone to leak eventually.
I purchased Long Tubes from Kooks on my Gen1. And there Cated Y pipe. There Cated Y pipe has locations for the O2 sensors and they came with a harness that connects right up to your harness cause the new locations for the 02 sensors are further away and are much easier to get to. They make a...
Check with the manufacturer's of em like Kooks. They might make a set for ya and possibly have you bring your truck to em so the can make em then make sets for there stock to sell
Why would you want to? Going that speed plus I wouldn't recommend. For alot of safety reasons on the tires, high side walls just for one. These off road tires stretch at high speeds causing death wobble.
A regular F150 will tow more weight and can handle more weight in the bed. As far as people saying its a waste if your not off roading, well how many people actually buy Mustangs and other muscle cars and never go to a drag strip or buy a Corvette and etc and never go to a Track. Smiles with...
Wonder if the Predator Crate engine will hook up into the Gen 1. Its 28k on the Ford site. But when I was looking into doing a full rebuild of mine it was coming to around the same price when you factor in Super Charger and Forged Internals
@MRV99 Thinking of doing this in my Gen1. Is the kit you purchased only the 6 Piston Front kit? Did you buy for the rears also? I went to there website and the kit doesn't mention anything about lines? Does the kit include stainless lines?
YEP and not for just for tire speed ratings. Thats alot of air underneath that truck, no spoilers keeping down force. 1 frost heave or bump and its good bye
What was the price difference between Ford and Livernois? I'm leaning towards Livernois since it comes with Forged Internals since whenever I do it I'm going to Super Charge it and then thus would be my Retirement project. I already had all the necessary body work done. All I need is a rebuild...
