Most of the time the brakes are indistinguishable from stock. I did not need to adjust my braking to my daily driving It is those times when you need them is where they shine. Do you need them to be a safe, no. Are they an upgrade which is worth the money one spends on upgrades, yes. Everyone adds tunes or CAI’s to go fast and ignore making stopping better

@MRV99 Thinking of doing this in my Gen1. Is the kit you purchased only the 6 Piston Front kit? Did you buy for the rears also? I went to there website and the kit doesn't mention anything about lines? Does the kit include stainless lines?

Thanks. Nice write up. Can you give us the installation review, any close clearance issues? Anything you needed to field modify? Were the instructions and tech support, if needed acceptable?
I have the R1 Concepts front and rear. VERY DISAPPOINTED! Not much better than stock and ended paying around $7K once everything was done. I do have the Enkei RPT wheels. Thanks!

I only did the fronts due to 1) Physics, the weight transfer to the front lightens the rears and I did not feel that it would benefit from rears. 2) the rears are part of the stability control and braking for the cruise control and did not want to change the OEM. 3) I felt I could change the rears in the future if needed but it required 18" wheels

I did add stainless steel lines since I had to open the braking system and replacing the fluid.

The instructions are pretty straight forward. If you have done brakes before, it is a snap. If you are handy, then you will be able to do the work. You remove the calipers, pull the dusk shield off and add all the new rotors and calipers. The only thing I worried about was the wheel weight placement but the weights were not in an area which would cause contact. I would recommend you get the wheels balance before you do the work but you can simple see if you have an wheel weights in line with the stock calipers. I even added SS brake lines and did a fluid flush at the same time. Oh and I would not use the Red locktite they mention to use, I used 1 drop of blue.

Where did you get the stainless lines from?

i keep saying it but i found it very odd they said to add red on something youd remove as part of maintenance
someone mentioned lawyer speak but even then its just crazy
