If I run E85 I get 10 - 11 mpg no matter where or how it’s driven.
Otherwise 93 premium on Gosetuned stage 2 = 14 in town and 18 on the highway.
I’m lifted 1.5” with ADD pro bolt front bumper and deaver +3’s.
2017 with 82,000 miles. I was putting the winter tires on today and looked closer at the front drive axles and noticed the oil/grease drip.
I’m assuming bad seal? I have noticed what I feel is a low pitched “grind” on deceleration. I was attributing to the poorly wearing KO2s, but now I’m...
One does and one doesn’t. The brand new replacement they sent me does not and I didn’t have the motivation to fight it since I had already waited 3 months for it.
I'd prefer to sell together, but I guess I could separate them. I would ask $700 for the rebuilt fronts. Shipping is usually around $50 - $75 via UPS depending where they are going. I imagine closer to $50 since no coilovers.
If you are in the market for rebuilt rears I'll have them...
They have been upgraded to Viton seals, shafts refinished, upgraded seal kits for colder climates, new main bushings, and custom valves to be smooth on road and moderate off road.
I am in the same boat as you. I have rears on back order since June. They were supposed to be here first week of October and now it’s December….. You find some?
I forgot to add I also have the complete OEM floor set that came with the truck when I bought it new. There have never been used since I put Husky floor liners in the day I bought it back in 4/2017.
It is a Supercab so the back mat fits that area and not a super crew.
This doesn’t make any sense. You are not asking to get the phasers replaced (you are not having issues). You are asking per Ford to have the PCM update to prevent further issues so they don’t need replaced. It also increases your warranty for said part. I am not sure what your dealer is saying…?
@MagneticScrew is exactly correct on his sequence. I did the exact same thing with my COBB AP and ECM/TCM tunes. I had no issues with getting the Cam Phaser PCM flash done. Only difference is I don’t care about the key cycles or what the dealership says. I have 82,000 miles on my 2017 and I...
If I was doing (well I guess I have) a daily driver with a bit of budget I would do it in this order.
1. Deavers
2. COBB AP with off the shelf TCM + Goosetuned (need upgraded intercooler)
3. Fox 3.0 for front/back if got the $7k to burn
The above 3 make it a much more pleasant daily driver...
That’s nuts. I can’t believe there was that much driveline loss in torque for the Gen 2 vs Gen 3. How does the Gen 3 feels vs your Gen 2 when ran on e85?
I have a set of rebuilt fronts from TSW for a 2017/2018 when I did the shock exchange. One of the shocks leaked immediately (got sent a new one last week) and I went ahead and put new Fox 3.0’s on instead as it took too long to get the 2nd rebuilt.
The one front is literally rebuilt with zero...
Another shout out to Winfield (@GooseTuned). A few things. First off my XDI EVO pump needed some work and Winfield reached out to XDI on my behalf and the company made it right by sending me a new pump. Then I had to uninstall the tune to be able to get the PCM Cam phaser flash completed and...
Yes. You need to “unmarry” the tune from the truck. So uninstall ECM/TCM completely. Update your AP COBB via computer. Have dealership perform Cam Phaser flash and then you can reinstall both ECM/TCM.
I know I am jinxing myself here, but I own a 2017 and just hit 80,500 miles. I have never had any cam phaser issues. I have been tuned for 30,000 of those miles and currently have been running just e85 for the past 10,000.
1. Shocks need to be rebuilt every 50,000 miles or sooner if any off...
For e50 you will have to mix it. Basically get an ethanol kit (google fuel it) and find your favorite gas station selling e85 and measure the exact amount of ethanol content (you will see 60 - 85%) depending on the location and season. Once you know the ethanol amount you can quickly calculate...
See . Exactly right. I run E85 (octane 100 - 105) as I got tired of always mixing down to E50. The majority of people only need the HPFP that installs on the passenger side valve cover, not on the low pressure side via the fuel tank.
I use the XDI pump that Goose Tuned (Winfield) sells...
