Despite being an enormous improvement over my 2011, Ford still can't design UIs in my opinion. I'm also bugged by "My View" and the fact that it's called "Digital Speedometer". How about we ditch the Windows-95-style "My" terminology and also just label it "Speedometer"? I'm picking nits for...
This is $15,000 in new parts? $20k if including transmission?
(Also..why do these guys replace the transmission?)
* Hennessey embroidered headrests cost $49,950.
And btw, sorry if I'm the thirty-seventh person to ask this, but have you scoured autotrader nationwide for a matching truck? Check, "new", use keyword "802A", select colors you like, sort by price..check if any dealer really needs one gone.
Personal preference, but that seems like a lot of features ($4065) I wouldn't want if going for the lower cost truck (I'm a bit biased as prefer no graphics though).
If it were me I'd either do an 800A (save the $4000) or 801A with no options (about the same price as the 800A). Personally...
I never mess with those bolts. Really hate the star-nut design, they barely work as it is, not something I'd tension and release frequently. Constantly re-tensioning against a bearing can't be good either. I pull the front wheel when I want bike under bed cover.
Salesmen have a consistent track record of bullshit.
Ford documents show there will be a 2021 Raptor, but possibly no Supercab: https://jalopnik.com/the-hybrid-2021-ford-f-150-will-be-paired-with-base-3-5-1842618303
It might be a carryover of 2020 Raptor with 2021 interior updates. It might...
I think Subarus are great cars. Recommended an Outback to my Mom, fantastic car, she loves it. Quality, at least from an end-user perspective, seems solid. Good friend has Crosstrek with similar story. Could totally see picking up a WRX as a toy car someday.
That said, I'd like to see a...
There's a Youtuber, "Westen Champlain" who rebuilt a 2018 that had tried to eat a tree in the front corner.
He had to do an entirely new frame because there was damage on the middle section as well that wasn't all that obvious. See end of this video:
I may be naive in saying this, but if...
I'm likely doing an out-of-state move soon, 1250 miles.
Plan to put a BMW R1200GS (~550lb) in the bed along with a few mountain bikes and miscellany (~200lb). And probably 400lb in cab, including weight of myself.
Truck is theoretically 5700lb wet, with a 7050 GVWR. So 1350lb of cargo. I'm...
The B&O in my 19 is enormously better than the Sony was in the 11. I'm not an audiophile, but the Sony managed to ruin some bands/albums completely (while doing just fine with others). I don't see this in the B&O, everything sounds fine...not amazing, but fine. With the B&O you can at least...

C/D shows Range Rover a little quicker (4.8 vs 5.0-5.1). HP/Torque/Weight numbers on the two are very similar. Range Rover will kill it above 60 though.
Are you guys seeing 3.4 UI be substantially faster? My 3.3 / 19052 seems "reasonably" quick, although the initial nav map load takes way too long at startup.
Me too... if Ford did one I'd probably jump on it. The tune they have for the new Ranger sounds amazing. Amortize the price of failures into the cost so we can all pay our fair share and no one gets randomly screwed with a $10k bill. Roush offers their own warranty, but it's only 3/36...
I have not and don't intend to tune my truck, but if I do, it will only be with a warranty (e.g. Roush). Probably even that isn't ever happening because I have an ESP plan.
That said...
Generally speaking in software development, a last-modified timestamp is a spectacularly poor security...
I don't understand Tasca....why is it not shown on this sheet: https://www.tascaparts.com/auto-parts/2019/ford/f-150/raptor-trim/3-5l-v6-gas-engine/body-cat/front-console-scat
So amazed by the lack of actual compatible wheel options for the Raptor, I can't bear the idea of screwing up the performance.
Probably leaning toward 313 myself, or may go 310 and add minimalist round-head black "beadlock" bolts. I wish the 310 was available without the fake-beadlock bolts...
