Well it’s a trans tune. So it would have its own new max and min parameters and tables. Just clearing the tables with OEM tune doesn’t change the overall rules and limits.

I very much recommend the ford tuner if you have a 23’. It certainly pulls harder and shift better.

It says AUX 2 is 15amps. The 10" ONX6 is 108w/8.4a.....so i should be more than GTG for that one correct? It seems to work fine. Does the relay that you have connect to the ford AUX switch? I guess it would since your two lights would exceed the output of even the 15 AUX 2 or AUX 3.

If you are going to jump the truck….leave it alone. IMO. I don’t care if it’s “made for it”….thats extremely hard on the vehicle and shit might break that otherwise wouldn’t.

Thanks. I meant AUX switch. My spell check got me. I cant believe the little brown/green wire for aux 2 can flow enough juice to run this onx6!

Im going to see if i can epoxy a thin bit of aluminum rod on the back side.

The only issue.....is that the 4 inner clips had to be trimmed and of course a lot of the honeycomb is gone. So the thin upper and lower stretches (above the below the light) are flimsier than i would like. Trying to come up with a fix, but for now they are double side taped to the...

The ONX6+…? It’s super bright. More than the headlights. I think about 12k lumens.

What do you think? There is NO WAY the center grill will fit over this, even though they say it will. And the onx6 cannot go back any more b/c of the shutters. So I trimmed the grill.

Factory 37’s (0 offset wheels) are kinda skinny looking. Truck sure does ride well however. Super cushy.

Bummer. Do CA authorities actively ticket people for no front plate? In MO it’s requires too, but nobody cares. 1/2 vehicles don’t run them. I haven’t had a front plate on any vehicle for 20yrs.

Quit worrying about the warranty. You aren’t going to do anything, with this tuner, to require warranty work that would be questioned. It’s VERY mild.

Yes. You “download” the stock tune to the programmer, then upload the performance tune to the programmer from your PC and install that on the truck. A copy of the stock tune is always a couple clicks away.

And that right there is the problem. Most dealers and their staff are complete idiots. They will sell you the vehicle and do routine maintenance and repairs….but beyond that, I wouldn’t let em touch it if it was something I can do. Like plug in a tuner.

I might have a different opinion if this thing required bolt turning or something other than plug and play….but there is literally nothing you can do to alter what the tune is or how it functions. I can almost guarantee that 99% of ford techs and dealers have not seen one of these let alone...

I know. It’s been beat to death. There are many examples of things that must be done by or through XYZ. Until I see examples of ford not warranting something because of this exact scenario……I wouldn’t go to the dealer. But you do you if it makes ya feel better. The main point here is that...

…..just install it yourself. This is silly. It’s a ford (livernois) provided and approved tune. Not likely the dealer will mess with you.

Installed today. So far so good. Feels like it pulls harder and it does shift better and without any confusion. I’m pleased. I bought the one for my Braptor too, so I’ll install that this weekend probably and see what kind change it makes.
